Fun fact: You will never see another Conrail locomotive ever again, as it currently stands. Conrail became part of Norfolk Southern in the late 1990s. Since then, all Conrail locomotives have been split between CSX and Norfolk Southern and been repainted into each companies respective colors. Norfolk Southern has since released 20 heritage locomotives (or heritage units) celebrating the various rail companies that have became a part of the company. One of the heritage units is of Conrail, NS8098. Though not technically a Conrail unit, 8098 is the only Conrail locomotive to actively take to the rails today.
