Got a copy of GT6, ask questions here

Has anything been said about standard car cockpit view?
Here you go courtesy of @Boabdulrahman. I think it is the BMW M3 CSL. He has lots more images on his Flickr account.

Just drove the Redbull X2010 in the Goodwood event, which was a real pain in the ass. The Redbull sounds totally different in this game. It was too loud and it sounded nearly like a formula car.
Must have been a real handful at Goodwood. Narrow and short.

Sledgehammer cracking a nut there.

Any chance of a quick snap of the options screen confirming the multi screen/display support?

I wonder what Kaz thinks about these leaked copy threads. o.o

I presume he is not happy.

Sony was very constructive and reasonable in their asking towards people with the official review codes to sustain from posting any insights before Day One Patch arrives at Thursday, Dec 5th, with all planned updates to the current 1.00 code.

What we learned is how the 1.00 version of GT6 have been finished some time ago and handed over certification, translation (there are approx. 17 languages it had to be translated) and mastering for production (production was happening during past month). So we can presume there are many things being done for the upcoming patch and it will be interesting to see what it will bring.

That's why I'm not too worried about spoiling the game, there's still two months of development between this copy and my copy. :) So the Day one Patch is Dec 5th, not 6th...

Not sure where I'm supposed to look for that, but there doesn't seem to be anything about it in Options -> Display. Only talks about display size and brightness.

Anyway, I just bought the BRZ GT300 base car. It doesn't seem like you can do much with it. Exactly like the RM cars in GT5; paint the car, paint the wheels and change the number on the car (still only 4 types of font too). That's about it. I'll post if I find that you can do something new with it.

Any external items that are changeable? front bumper, rear bumper, wing?

@Boabdulrahman ; i already asked BHRxracer for his opinion also but i'd like yours too;

Now that you had the game for a couple of days, can you tell us what you find positive about it, what you find negative about it and if you think it is a real improvement over GT5, or it is more of the same?

Really curious about your impressions so far, so please write us a little review 👍

Thanks.

@rehdogg15 i forgot about you, please join in with your impressions :)

It will be on for all cars in multiplayer, like in GT5

Like I said when I saw the first gt6 night video...

OMG...During night there is no reflection at all, you can't even see your own headlights reflected on the other cars oO

When the day comes and the headlights turns off, it's like the AI cars go from mat paint to reflected/regular paint... :(

The AI cars don't have functional headlights... :(

In the x-bow video, all the AI cars are like illuminated by an unknown source, they don't react to the headlight, the texture is really mat...this is really ugly... (especially with the yellow car)

In terms of driving feel, which is the most important thing in my opinion, it feels better than GT5. Also one thing I noticed when driving the BRZ GT300 base car was that in the fast corners if I went in a little too fast it will just understeer until it's offtrack/hit the wall. But if I went in just a bit slower, maybe by like 10 km, it takes the corner very well. Maybe that's because of the new aerodynamics?

I really like the new events/driving missions/coffee breaks(except for knocking cones, I really hate that!) oh and it's really fun to drive on the moon. Though, the 3rd mission for the Lunar Rover is knocking cones ON THE ****ING MOON! it felt stupid and was hard to get gold on that, but I eventually managed to. Also, the Goodwood "track" is surprisingly fun. I thought it was gonna be boring because it's very short and tight, but I enjoyed it.

Can't say it feels much of a step up from GT5 with customization, because it is basically the same. Except for the new thing about increasing wheel size and inch or two.

The game is too easy! I really beat the gold times by 2/3 seconds sometimes and almost always get gold on the first try. In previous GT games it was way tougher and I almost always got bronze on my first try.

Overall, I really like the game and have been enjoying it a lot.

Cheers , is career mode too easy in general? because that would make it as dull as GT5 was in that aspect. All i want is some exciting racing against those bots... desperately!

I've watched the dealership video - it looks like PD 🤬 up big time and just copied and pasted the same car, then made one a '13 version. They're identical stat wise, probably will have the same colours too. Wtf?
Well people did complained that there was no Bugattis premium and Kaz didn't have to do it. So PD desided to do so and for a bonus, you get the '13 version as well. :dopey:

I'm a big follower of the GT series from GT2, and GT6 Isn't a big step forward but I'm actually enjoying it. I use photomode alot and in GT6 it has improved. In terms of fixing the tire smoke, and the jagged shadows. Also, car physics feels improved. When you hit the brakes, the suspension feels more responsive. However, don't expect a ton of new content in other departments of the game.

As rehdogg15 said, the career is a bit easy. But, the mission races and some of the coffee break challenges are fun (not the cones challenge though). I'm also interested in drifting as I usually compete in the GT5 seasonal events, but hadn't had the chance to fully modify a proper drift car and drift in Willow springs yet.

The license tests till now are also easy. But, all in all I'm enjoying it as I have enjoyed playing all the GT games. Because every year I limit my expectations. But, hopefully GT7 would be a big step forward.

Yeah it wasn't too hard, but the AI can be aggressive and race dirty sometimes. They bumped into me from behind mid-corner many times and I spun put because of it. It can be challenging if you use worse tiers than them though.
What?? Knocking cones on the moon is stupid? Sounds awesome to me...
Well, I just always hated the knocking cones thing because I have a hard time winning them :P and I didn't like seeing it on the moon too considering there are only 3 missions. The other 2 are just getting from point to point in time. They felt really fun because you had to go full throttle and try to not roll the Lunar Rover, which happens way too easily.

Just in case the other users cant answer yet, how is Practice Mode? Is there Free Run and are there AI cars on track at the same time? Is there still a One Make Race in Practice Mode or can you choose cars to race against? How many cars do you race against in Practice mode?

There is no practice mode. Only arcade mode in which you can choose from an ordinary race with random cars with the same PP level as yours, time trial, and drift trial.
One make races are in the career mode.
You can't choose the cars you want to race with.
