Well. To go cry in a corner saying "It's. It's just too great for us to compete against :scared:". Then, they make confirmation for a delay because their sooo scared, after hearing that GT7 will appear next year. :D

You told me I was funny earlier today, but I think you've really got the edge on the whole joke front, Toko.
 
I see no "top speed" slider in transmission settings menu, transmission flipping is no longer possible ? Essentially everyone will be running with the same ratio options if the final drive is the same ?

I liked to flip to keep tighter gearing yet maintaining a high top speed.
 
My simple question is,what were the prize cars you unlocked? I know not everyone wants to know this yet but some of us are impatient..;) thank you.:)
 
Thanks for the vid. I notice during the replay that the ktm seems to have the only working lights. Not really what I expected from a reworked lighting engine. However, the sky is very nice.

I don't know if they're working in ps4 perspective and then downgraded the game to match the 60fps performances...



just to remember, in GT5 the lights were working for every car!

I'm expecting (and hoping for) a very big day one patch.

Not every car, you'll notice that the cars at the back of the train were only casting dots, much like the AI in GT6. But there were at least four cars casting full beams, which is probably enough for all but the most crowded situations. It's a clever optimisation.

Only having the player car with headlights is just really obvious. It's a huge immersion breaker, for me anyway. Using the headlights of the guy ahead is how night driving works.

I didn't notice that only 4 had lights at first...
still: 4>1!
So: in gt6 we have 1 "good" light instead of 4 bad quality lights? What an improvement...
I know they're pushing the hardware but it's like a joke...
however: if you look carefully at the day/night trailer....



at 0.53 you clearly see it:
A lot of cars with lights pass by... but the lights are reflected on the track only sometimes! (now we know it happens only when the "player" car is passing by...)
also you may notice that only 1 car has really flashy lights at daytona (still looking fantastic)
I'm sure that no one had noticed it since the trailer was released!

The only good news are: seems that polyphony really made that trailer with the gt6 graphic engine actually running on ps3, not high-end PCs and stuff like that, otherwise they would have allowed lights on, on every car
 


Still the cheaply modified sound sample from the BMW M5 (or the Gallardo. Whatever) in the Huayra. The rest as far as I could hear, still have the same sound sample. Most of them are okay, but I would have expected that PD had a new sound for the Huayra since it's a new car.

Oh well. Hopefully the day one update will fix the sounds for some cars.

Other than that, I am so dying to play this game. These videos don't help my already limited patience. This week will be an absolute torture.
 
OH GOD!!!

Looks like not all of the standards were worked on. :(
If they would've changed the material for the brake light covers or added a few extra polygons to the wheel arches, it would look great.

edit, off topic: less than 50 post from the big 1000 :D just in time for release. :D
 
Have you had a chance to try out the PS eyetoy cam ? Of course, you could only use that feature in Arcade mode in GT5, but is there any mention of it working in A-Spec mode for the new game ?
