Ok, this is a thread meant to help noobs over MSN and AIM, instead of directing them to stupid "noob-dump-stickies". This is how it works, certain members have volunteered to help noobs with the questions, even if they get the MOST STUPID NOOB QUESTIONS, that DOESN'T MATTER, THEY'LL ANWSER THEM ALL

Noobs, report if a member of the help panel flames you for your question on MSN/AIM, and I'll "investigate" it

If you need help, post your: name, MSN/AIM in this thread:
Name: [your GTP name]
MSN: [your MSN]
AIM: [your AIM]
......and the panel will try to help you.

Ok: If any question comes from a noob, like: "whats the best car to start", where no real answer can be given, you always need to try to point them out a bit: "cars around +/-250BHP, light, MR 4WD or FR"
Thats an example, instead of saying: "Any car is good" cause they might actually pick a Suzuki Escudo or something for learning wich is WRROONNGG!!!!

umm. The point of the "Read This" threads is to help the broad range of users who view them. they accomplish that. If you don't have enough critical thinking skills to solve your conflict based on what information can be found on GTP and the stickies, then I wish you much luck in your endeavors.

Just know this, noobs: You cannot beat the information contained in the stickies across these boards. Don't underestimate them. Though they might not fit exactly into your personal preferences, they'll always be correct for the better part of their cause.

Don't worry all, I talked with Swift before I made this thread, just to ask if it was a good idea, and well.......I'm just happy to help in person..............stickies need to be read, but if there are still members that want other help than that...........>me<:P

And yes, Swift allowed me to make this thread......
 
oh, i'm not beefing about you helping people. what you're doing is great.

However, just because you're offering a helping hand, I don't want people to visit the stickies any less.

GT4Fan, I think you should make a list of people's AIM/MSN handles in the first post so that people can reach those willing to help. Also, keep that list updated with those that are looking for help. So it would look something like this:

Experienced members willing to help:
GT4Fan - AIM: aimhandle MSN: msnhandle
Suzuki - AIM: aimhandle MSN: msnhandle
Etc, etc

New members looking for help:
new member 1 - AIM: aimhandle MSN: msnhandle
new memeber 2 - AIM: aimhandle MSN: msnhandle
Etc, etc.

OK I changed to SWIFT'S idea: I'll make this a sort of help depot, with members requesting help, and members with MSN and AIM ready for helping NOOBS! (remember they will probably come with common questions, but thats the point of this, we'll answer ALL questions).

i'd say start with any car that you could reasonably buy today.

but yes xlink is helpful if you dont have too high of ping.
but word to anyone who gets on xlink, try not to hit fellow drifters, or get next to them before a turn.

Ok, my issue.... Has anyone here gone 90 in a completelly bone stock car and just cranked the wheel???? After doing so in several vehicle I can't ever imagine this causing understeer, yet in GT4 some cars just don't want to break loose unless you get perfect turn in or enertia the weight around. Am I doing something terribly wrong? It just doesn't even feel half realistic. I don't care what tires you're running, just because you cranked the wheel and the tires loose grip doesn't mean the front end won't move.

Anyways, feel free to IM me whenever. My computer is on 24/7 so if I don't answer just leave a message. I never had an away message. I'll gladly listen, I consider myself a good student.

Ok I feel like this is going really well, I don't know how it is for others, but I have helped several people now, and I know TS did also......so I'll bump this thread up again, so that not searching members immediatly see this:P

i wouldnt mind helping, if u big guys let me, i dont really have a name around here, but i drifted alot of cars in my garage, and im savin up for a xlink and usb flash drive, and start posting my vids up, so if i could be of any help let me kno thanks
