Got my Forza 4 LCE today!! Notes and gripes...

Yes, it was possible to look left and right with the MS-wheel, but you lost some other functions then.

I heared that headtracking works pretty good in FM4, so I think that I will purchase some kinect soon.
 
I'll try to answer everything:

1.- Prizes are given to you at random on many events, just like a jackpot, prizes start turning fast, then slowly, and you get your prize, they are like 20% more xp, or 50% more affinity points, or 4000 cr more, etc.

2.- The M5 Autovista dlc says: "This content is exclusive and is not available for download now". Whatever that means...

3.- You cannot paint exhausts, just the same, body, hood, wing, rims and tint windows options as before.

4.- No local leaderboards.

5.- The most expensive Ferrari is 10 million now (250 GTO).

6.- I imported from FM3 my file, I was level 50, all the cars in the game except unicorns, and DID NOT get the HKS Evo, got like 15 cars and a list was scrolling down saying: You were level50, you get these... You were vip, you get these... You got these rare cars in FM3 garage's you get these..., etc, but no HKS Evo!? But got the unicorn hunting achievement for those "rare cars"...

7.- 11 gigs for FM4 full install (both DVD's) including all DLC from LCE (LCE goodies, plus launch pack, plus track pack which was described as "Top Gear Soccer Field pack and Benchmark Track"?!?! was like 500 megs)

8.- If your wheel doesn't have an analogue stick, you're out of luck, no left right view whatsoever, no way to get inside the cars on autovista or look around the cockpit either... BOOM, thanks T10!! Even if you plug in a controller on the second slot guys!! The game won't let you do those things, you HAVE to unplug your wheel, restart the game with a controller only!!!

Kinect forced on us... No way... I'd rather restart with my controller, I'm not buying a kinect just for that.

Oh, forgot about that badge thing. It is pretty silly IMO, you just get annoying messages pretty often saying: "New badge acquired", all it is is just a little description to change in your in game card which can have different unlockable avatars, your gamertag and a "badge" which are given to you based on your performance on every turn, pass, drift, slipstream, etc... they say e.g. "Clean Passer", "The overtaker", "Bringing home the bacon", etc... :D

Also, nice to hear about the physics being that good. Can't wait to get my hands on the game on friday.

Probably because the game isn't out yet, so it's not available on XBL yet..

You know what? I'll be passing a Gamestop on my way somewhere tomorrow. Maybe I'll stop in a try my luck. Of course, the guy who works there seems to know what he's doing(I know, Gamestop employees who know things. Shocking. :boggled:) so I probably won't have any luck.

Do you power up your 360 with your wheel? If so trying manually powering up the 360 and then turn on the wheel and see if that helps with the side views.

11G install?!?!? DAMN! I have some storage management to do before I get it.

The top gear book is high quality, great paper just like the kind you find on fancy Art Books, great design, very nice materials except for the last three pages which are only inserts with crappy stickers, 3 of them: Top Gear logo, T10 logo, and Forza logo, all in a shiny cheesy looking white.

The content is just photographs of all the autovista content, but pretty good pics.

On the M5 DLC, they say "exclusive content". I understand that it may not be available right now, but how is it exclusive?

T.O. Tried everything, no analog stick on the wheel, no luck, at least for me.

Same here. I only have 9.2GB available at the moment and I just deleted everything possible except for FM3 (3.3GB) which I will delete after I get all the transfer goodies from it and the FM4 demo (1.3GB) which I will also delete tomorrow morning.

What is the install size on just disk 2? Is that still an option like it was in FM3?
 
I ordered from gamestation.co.uk (Mini John Cooper bonus car) and have just got the email saying it's been dispatched. Hope it arrives before Wednesday but if not, ah well. :)

If you follow the proper controller shut down procedure you can assign different controllers to #1 slot.

Hold the guide button and select turn off controller instead of simply putting out the batteries like many do.
 
Can anyone confirm minimum install sizes? Is it like FM3 where you only have to install a certain bit of data from a 2nd disc? I've only got 1.3gb of space on my console!

42.9 GB available on my hard drive :D

The 120GB hard drive is lasting well. Mostly because I've got all my music and movies on the PS3. That way, it still serves some purpose, at least.
 
I can't exactly clear any more space unless I delete FM3. Which I don't really want to do :(

I'll try that, anyway it is a hassle, having to do that all the time you want to check out a cockpit in autovista? Let alone having to do that to look left or right during a race :D

You can choose what to install from disc 2, it has 4 packs on it, each pack around 600 megs, disc 2 complete is like 2.3 gigs.

Disk 1 installs around 8 gigs

All DLC available now is like 500-600 megs

Between the installs and the dlc downloads and input of codes, I was playing Forza 4 maybe an hour after starting the process, that sucked... I installed disc 1 first, don't know if the other way around makes a difference or not.

Plus FM4 starts with the same stupid first race introductory thing with all assists on (you can't turn anything off nor configure controls until done with that race) just like FM3, but this time at the Bernese Alps on the 458...

Finally I'm playing with some rhythm (took me some time to get used to the physics, I was playing too much iRacing before), just started 4th year of the career... Just found the autocross event, pretty fun...

Maybe you'll find out first, I'm not much into tuning, I saw a lot of rim brands when navigating the menu the first time, honestly can't tell you if they got new ones or not... Same for the painting options for rims, I will have to try it, but at the moment I'm focusing in finishing the career ASAP. I'm a completion freak :D

There is a multiscreen option inside options. Don't have that kind of setup to answer your question though :(
