Got my Forza 4 LCE today!! Notes and gripes...

Anyone have any issues with downloading the "Launch Pack"?

Mine went to 100% in 2 seconds. At over 400MB something sounds off. I check my HDD and nothing was there. I tried it again and got the same thing. I didn'y have a chance to check the dealership for the cars though. I had to leave for work.

It's like we ALL got LCE. No wonder they are selling out of LCE everywhere...nobody wants Standard, lol!

I have a few buddies that got d1cked over from online pre-orders and now they are stuck. Pretty crappy, but you folks with LOVE IT! I'm an hour in and even Road Atlanta is quite different, and in a good way. A couple noticeable elevation differences and looks mucho better.

I had a small issue with finding the Limited Edition add on but the other 2 went fine. Hope you get it worked out, you can always put it back in the que as well.

Amazon is now saying they passed it to ups but ups is saying all they have is the label. :nervous: I am starting to think this thing is lost.

Anyone know if gamestops or bestbuys got extra copies of the LCE?

Is there anything that is unique to the individual LCE? I might go get one play that tonight and return the sealed amazon one (whenever i get it) to the store.

Don't worry, same thing happened to me, it is just a small unlock since the cars are already on the disc.

I know it is not fair, but guys, I'm level 26 here... :D

Anyone catching up?

I am in the same boat as you - Amazon shipped on 10/10 with estimated delivery of 10/11 - but UPS site showed only label printed. About 45 minutes ago UPS updated to show my game is in Indy, IN and delivery will be 10/12.

My local Best Buy had a few LCE - I bought one but will probably return it. I pre-ordered the LCE with Amazon in June and that should get me the cars in the "Launch Bonus" pack. The LCE from Best Buy has nothing printed on it about including the Launch Bonus pack, but some of the standard editions at the Best Buy showed the bonus pack logo and listed the extra cars on the back.

Hold off - you ordered in July per your other thread - right? You might have to wait a day - but if you don't and just buy it today somewhere could lose out on the extra cars.

I'm not complaining - I was one of the lucky ones that got the LCE for $59.99 when Amazon listed the price wrong! :)

I think the launch bonus pack is just included with the first run of the games. I believe it is a card with a code that is included in the first batch that was shipped out to retailers.
 
Can anyone confirm the launch bonus pack info? I am going to hit every best buy and gamestop on my way home and try to get my hands on another LCE tonight.
 
The launch bonus cars are included on the card inside the LCE. I have mine downloading while I'm at work. I picked my copy up at gamestop so I received the alfa romeo and all other codes where inside the game case itself.
 
My Xbox is set to turn off automatically after 6 hours of inactivity. I didn't get my codes posted at Xbox.com on time, so only one of the three have downloaded so far, lol. Oh well.

If it's just the UPS tracking website then it could be just a late update.

I called ups thinking the site maybe just didnt update. The lady said that she shows no record of that tracking number other than the label being printed.
 
I actually got my LCE from a local department store this morning, so I bought two and sold the other on eBay :cool:

Just sold the copy I bought extra from Best Buy on ebay for $120....time from purchase at Best Buy to approximately $35 profit on ebay = 1 hour!
 
I couldnt wait...i picked up a copy at best buy. They only had one LCE left. Walmart and 2 gamestops had 0.

Disk 1 is installing right now :dopey:
 
I played about 6-7 hours and got to level 16 I think with messing around a lot.... I'm loving it, just taking a couple hour break right now lol. . . The Ferrari FF is a drift machine even though its AWD.

My standard version also has turned up, with the speed wheel..

I'll play in that until I can get the LE tomorrow (in-store pre-order), just need to stop reading the forums, finish what I need to do for the day and clear off home early..

Just went to pick up my LCE today aswell, did the first race with all assist (sucks big time) and now I'm installing the game/dlc etc..
 
Ok so im from the UK so we get it 2moz, but need to know if anyone has an idea where they will stock the LCE game?
I was VIP on FM3 and would like the same with fm4, so any ideas? and does anyone know if any stores in UK are opening early like 12 at night? cheers.
stuck at work and starting to panic that my day off i booked 2moz will be wasted if game sells out in stores near me!!! i'm Midlands based.
