Basically when the "Stance" crowd admits what they are doing is for looks and looks only is when we can get along.

I'll be glad to admit that, it's just for s#%ts and giggles. :)

My civic's(EJ9) running some insane camber and poke (or at least it did until a bus thought it'd be cool to sideswipe me doing 45mph), and you know what, it's just for fun, it looks as stupid as a poo-flavoured jellybean.

One of my other cars (used both on the road and on the track on trackdays) however runs a proper setup.

It's all about havin' fun really :sly:

And I'm really sorry if me English isn't quite up to standards.. It's not my native tounge.

ROFL nooooow all your comments make sense

What's that? Bet you FAIL at guessing what I own, well that is if you have not stalked me.. .Just because I think a fourth gen F-body is anice looking car, prefer mine with fatties and skinnies. As well any self respecting car guy with a knowledge that of my 8 yr old would know that the LSX is an incredible engine that makes serious power on little work......OK my little work and yours may be different. I aint into bolting filters and decals on.

Also, since we wanna poke, what's with the variable vain huffers you got linked in your sig? I never seen this on anything but factory ford trucks......IIRC it is kinda failed to make waves and in known for problems. They sure make noise and that tends to make the diesel ricer happy, well that and a little black smoke and they are.

KISS concept comes to mind with that link.

I like this guy! Its on thing to make a life of this and defend that style like has reason, for a little kid to argue with a grown seasoned car guy it is frustrating they cant see you are trying to help.

Looks like I am being a hater, jerk, I just see a dangerous trend going on and after seeing what the F&F did to the car scene, lord knows we dont need more of that.

If anyone lived the car scene before and after F&F they will agree. I miss when car weren't "COOL". I want left alone, I do not want associated with any on that does anything for looks or show. . . I am an enthusiast and very enthusiastic about performance. 👍

I would really like to be out of this thread, so on that....I plan to attempt to not respond. . hahaha

Clearly you don't know much about what you're trying to talk about there champ. Many OE manufacturers are going to variable geometry turbochargers and if all that rings a bell when you hear those terms is "diesel trucks" then you truly do live under a rock! Ever heard or a 997 Porsche twin turbo?? It uses Borg-Warner VGT turbochargers. Garret makes a variable turbocharger as well, even Chrysler was using them back in the 90's but all of that is beside the point. Since your apparently one of those LSX guys I'm sure you probably even think that superchargers are more efficient and make boost faster than turbos too :dunce:

Read some books buddy, especially a little gem called "Maximum Boost" by Corky Bell. It even has a section dedicated to our turbochargers. So while your trying to get a clue, me and the guys I work with here will have a good laugh about your ill-informed comments. By the way, here's MY office:

What's that you were saying about "bolting" on filters and decals???? :sly:

wow, I just wasted a good 20 mins of my life reading about people who don't know anything about fitment and stance, yell at others that know even less.

For all those people saying that a car is 'stanced', that doesn't even make sense, it's not a word. A car can have 'good' stance and/or 'good' fitment. Saying "is this stanced?" is meaningless.

None of the GT5 cars in this thread have 'great' stance imo, not one. Some have 'nice' stance but that's about it. The game does not accommodate enough for great stance.

A suggestion for the game might be an option for different sized spacers. It's not ideal but at least that way any wheel can be fitted nicely without the complication of wheel offset etc. However, there will never be an option for tyre 'size' choice, therefore no tyre stretch, which is also a big part of achieving good fitment.

Meh, anyway, back to work.... lol

Every day, I find a new reason to love this car.
It goes like stink, not even close to fully tuned.
It is miraculously quick around the bends with a tiny bit of suspension tuning.
It is unbelievably easy to powerslide perfectly.
And you can do this with it. And it doesn't spoil the muscle-cariness of the car, either! See?

What he said. I've only seen two cars that come close. Lowering a car and adding massive negative camber looks like crap without the right tires and wheel fitment.

What about you all play the game more instead of trying to be zomg hellaflush with your pixel cars....

That is playing the game. It's just not in the same way that you are. We're all having fun here, so once again, a reoccurring theme around here: Don't tell me how to play my game.

What I can't understand, is why so many people come here just to troll/flame/piss on other people. I mean, come on.. don't you've got better things to do than rant and talk s&¤t about what other people like? If you don't like what other people do, fine, but there's really no need for all this hate. If I want to paint my Lambo' bright pink, slap on some brown rims and give it a ludicrous amount of camber, well why should YOU bother? And how on earth does it affect your way of playing GT5 if I spend ten freaking hours in settings and photomode to capture what I believe is the perfect shot of the perfect stance?
Surely you've got better things to do?

Oh, yeah, if anyone want's to start some sort of flamewar about what I just wrote, then do it someplace else, huh? 💡

Sincerely yours, the Norwegian Bastard.

Of course I have better things to do, otherwise I'd rant here everyday...
Same as people whinning because somebody post a lowered car with heaps of camber (making it looking ridiculous), and that the said person don't know anything about proper fitment.
The title of that thread is wrong by the way, any car in the game has a stance (being nice, bad, or whatever) so anyone can post a picture of his stock Kubelwaggen, it'll still have its place.

Now someone make a thread called Hellaflush, so that this forum can get as ridiculous as the Forza community forum with all the 16yo kids posting their awesome cars.

Sure, I'm not saying your wrong, I just thought we could leave the bs outside, if you catch my drift :) no need to spam this thread with more junk :) And what I wrote wasn't meant to you personally :)

Allons, c'est vendredi.. so let's all have a beer and chill out :)

*rolls eyes* dear god is anyone listening? yep ur right exalt1k, that is 'some stance', horrible stance.

LOL with more camber than that stays ugly this Mercedes. You don't like, alright 👍 Don't care about haters :sly:

Show what you can do in a game ;) We can't make great stance, if we got spacers, there yea, so man, you can try but it will be always horrible.

Amazing fitment:

hahahaha sorry I cant have it anymore.. I freaking rolled on the ground about that ^^

This Toyota has more stance than most of the cars showed here

Stop being 'that guy.' It's obvious with a thread title 'gotSTANCE' it is implying the stance 'movement/trend.' Just stop wasting your time trying to correct every little thing. If you are into imports, you know what this is and you're not going to think twice about it. Sure it might be left open for cars with aggressive tire fitment to post too, but it's all welcome.

How can people be so hateful these days on forums. Dear God.

This topic is for those who like the whole stance/fitment thing. If you don't like, plz go somewhere else.

Cmon. Damn trolls... Btw, I've seen some good autos here. But some need work. :)

Amazing fitment:

While that car is most definitely gorgeous, I hate to say that it does not seem to have amazing fitment. Amazing stance? Certainly, but not fitment. Look at the top of the wheel, you can tell that the fender sticks out way past the edge of the wheel = not amazing fitment by "our" standards. Not hating obviously, just making an observation.

BTW is that pic from T.A.S. 2010?
