There are a lot of cars out there where u just have to be willing to sacrifice .500 a lap in favour of consistency and less fuel needed. A lot of them are twitchy on throttle but my style has leaned toward those types of cars for awhile now. This season was pretty much my first time racing against fast drivers on a regular basis

My first season I used the viper I was able to run consistent lap time even while saving fuel....this season in the Lexus I have to drive almost the same but it's still very drastically different

@TexasJDC lol did u see Martin Brundle set Lewis up by saying, do you think you could of got around him with a few more laps? Lewis said no he was too quick. Then Martin gave a quick smirk to the camera hahahah that's just abusing the rules. They gotta change that. They might as well just run individual qualifying laps only if they can't race

I agree, I think the only reason they made the ruling is bc they did the same to Hamilton a few years back. Man I've never seen a driver pull off, push his own car back, and go straight to FIA man what I would have given to be a fly on that wall and hear that conversation

Right lol I'm sure they were scared for a moment haha

Hey guys if any of you were still interested in running the IRS 2.4 it has been bumped up to 3 lobbies we now have 4 spots available for LMP1 and GTE. https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/thre...-eastern-signups-open-taking-reserves.387847/
Just to add a little to this, if your like me and have a hard time with sarthe this would be a great way to learn it! Also we run the same track the next night on the 22nd so it's a good warm up for the gr.3 arl race! I know a few have signed up and now there is a possibility of a 3rd lobby so if you plan on running it sign up quick I know spots have been going like crazy up to this point

Sounds like you might get on with the 911 pretty well? The season 1 finale was my best performance in the car, but it was like driving a truck all of this season. It was very difficult to get the car to rotate and I was slipping and sliding for much of our race at Suzuka. It also felt severely underpowered and it showed GREATLY at Monza. The only track I felt like I had a car capable of a top 5 was Tsukuba. Then again, Tsukuba didn't play favorites. It was a great equalizer for the season. Definitely wouldn't want to take this car to Le Mans if I were racing the season finale. I would get absolutely obliterated.

Meanwhile the Lexus and I get along just fine in the dailies. I got a heavy foot, which could explain my discomforts with the Porsche. The RCF is just a bit more forgiving with the throttle response. If I give the 911 too much of MY foot, then I've lost the car. Even moving the brake bias towards the rear doesn't seem to help anymore.

The Porsche is a great car, but anything that isn't front engine is kind of a no go from me. I understand how to drive them, I just can't do that all the time lol I've got a few cars I'm ready to use for season 3

@TexasJDC since my internet is still down, I've connected my PS4 to my cellphone's mobile hotspot to do some WRS TT . Speed isn't good enough for lobbies, but hey, it's something hehe
Lol I did that when we moved during the MT panorama race last season atleast I could talk to everyone but still pissed I missed that one!

*ANNOUNCEMENT*

*6/18 Race at SARTHE has been changed to mimic the 2.4 hour race.

I will update the post on the first page of the thread concerning this.

This means that we will run a 90 minute race and we may require 2 lobbies. We will run this as a timed race as well.

If you want to run for Snail endurance points, you may do so and only run 60 minutes worth. I will go back to the stream, and verify you completed 60 minutes worth and score points from there any more time spent on track is a bonus for you.

If you were planning on running due to the upcoming ARL race on Saturday, we can get your car to the proper BOP settings and you can run the track and learn it more. The only difference would be the tyre/fuel wear.

This will consist of a multi-class event, you may run what you want as far as going for arl practice or 2.4 practice.

All SNAIL/ARL drivers are welcome.

A confirmation list will follow within the next few days. Sign up HERE.

Confirming for Saturday's race (with the help of some voodoo magic)

Lol I had made it pretty clear that I'd be retiring for the remainder of the season....buuut I may or may not be back from work just in the nick of time to qualify and race Saturday night. Cool if I throw my hat in? I'd also like to forfeit my points and switch to the Lexus if possible. If not, then I'm fine with my Porsche. If I don't make it in time, then I will be 100% retired for the season haha.
