At the halfway mark and there are some really great battles shaping up for this season. lets take a look at the top 3 of each class

for the teams we have got

1- Mellow yellow 440
2- Stepdad racing 422
3- Bad falcon Racing 398

i must say @PApunk924 and @Neutty really stepped up the game this season along with @BGCaligula and @Jacob Falcon to be within in 50 points is a great feat to say the least

next up we have the Silver Division

1- Herimopp89 230
2- Badguycaligula 221
3- WanganGhost 192
4- Aceboy127 185
5- Neutty 184

Another great bunch of battles to say the least again all within 50 points right there in the hunt of a championship

Then we have where the real racing has seen to be this season were the top 7 are within distance of everyone with just one bad race that can shake everything up

1- Phlano_099 209
2- PApunk924 201
3-Luist-99 200
4-Texasmosthated 200
5- Roberts247 187
6- Nerdfam6 184
7-Jfalcon 177

Again this is some of the great racing that we see week in and week out. This weekend I will be lost not running the gr3 cars for sure. Coming from everyone at the BOD we appreciate all the hard work and practice you guys put in on a weekly basis without you guys the drivers we would pretty much be nothing at all.

Great post @Herimopp89. The points races are all extremely tight and exciting. I hope to get back into the mix very soon. I’ll miss one more race (8/31) but should be good to go for the rest of the season. Maybe I can improve my overall standing within the division but it’s proving out to be tough! Keep up the great work everyone.

As a side note, the drop weeks (lowest points for any given 2 races) will begin with Race 8.
In a nutshell, your top 10 race points will count towards overall point total.

That's what I was thinking. But to be completely honest I wont believe it until I'm driving up the kemmel straight with a grin from ear to ear so fingers are still crossed this is TRUE

The Gran Turismo instagram account teased us earlier in a post filled with fan tweets asking when we're finally getting the track...I'm just gonna reach up and pull my belts one more time on this one guys. It's coming! :cheers:

I wish they would update the cars in the gr.3 class add the Bentleys and others that gt sport doesnt have but hey atleast we are getting spa hopefully so beggars cant be choosers lol

The new tire modeling is interesting, Michelin provided their tire data to improve the modeling, we will see how different it is.

No doubt this may take a while to implement, unless it's something they've been developing behind the scenes, but I agree. Will be interesting.

Dirty tires will take what seems like forever to clean up though :lol:
 
Well the news release is saying Michelin won't go into affect until the October update or perhaps Q4 I'd say. The branding will be all over the game for sure, but I'm with @BGCaligula. It'll probably be awhile before we notice anything. IRacing has been working on their tire model for a little over a decade now I think? I'm sure it hasn't always been the greatest. I know iRacing's a sim and GT's more of a "simcade" (bad comparison lol), but Kaz always sounds like he wants to do so much more with GT. Maybe this could help the series tremendously moving forward. It is cool though that a real tire supplier is going through with something like this and publicly too. If this relationship is as big as it's expected to be, then it could certainly have a positive outcome on the "driving experience" that Polyphony's looking to achieve. Don't know how much more it'll make it real though.

If the gamers end up loving it, then it could generate more brand loyalty for Michelin and guarantee them customers.

Most diffidently a way for them to try and get more customers through GT Sport.
