It was a challenging race! Though I lost a lot of ground on my first stint and was forced to make an early pit stop for repairs. Managed to do an undercut while keeping my 2 stop strategy, since the early damage required three.

After some adjustment the car felt really good and consistent. I didn't want to use TC because it was taking away control of the vehicle and making it even harder to perform.

Was glad to survive the amazing first turn and throughout the race, despite finishing a low position. Nevertheless I'm still happy to bring the car home with a result.

Just couldn't control it in the rain, didn't want to screw up anyone's race! I lost my cool and wasn't having any fun with it! Braking was more of the issue than anything. Frustrated. Sorry fellas!
Huge shame not to see you this week. Saw you doing quite well on practice laps.

But yeah it was indeed a struggle in the wets. My mindset had it clear to drive it slow-mo and be gentle with the throttle. In fact, I barely had half my lap on full throttle because the car kicked in its "turbo" (supercharger) like a rocket, which would cause a spectacular spin.

Braking was a bit of a handful but I did my trick to make sure I get some extra grip on the exit. I know for sure if you brake too much and overheat the wets they'll go off and you can't turn in. So it's like a light coast and brake strategy at the expense of your laptime.

It was a very frustrating race indeed. As mentioned earlier though, this was the only race scheduled under wet conditions. I for one was not looking forward to it either. I did some practice and did ok, until the last lap on the last turn. Spun and lost my position!
Oh well, keep at it man. Keep showing up and driving with us. You will improve

The skies have cleared, and it's a beautiful day in the world of ARL.
Results from last nights Race 2 posted below. Congrats to @SAMHAIN85 and @GTP_Guido for the wins in their respective divisions.
Full points and stats updated in POST #2 and here. Hope to see everyone next week!

Race 2 went about as expected as it could, despite two errors possibly preventing P2. Made a mistake starting the race on TCS 2 and ended up bottoming out, allowing Guido to easily pass. Once I got past on lap 6 (?), I wasn't about to let an undercut happen later in the race, so I pit on lap 8 normally, and took fuel for 7 laps, which made the gap slightly amplified due to having more fuel at the stop and taking a lot less. Then on lap 15, I went for the second stop to finish out the race, taking enough for a final lap non fuel save, just in case anyone got close. The last two laps had a lot of traffic and I fear I was too conservative with trying to get past which lost me quite a few seconds. Oh well, pretty good day in the office, and happy I had the car under control for roughly 98% of the race. :)

I loved the rain race. It was kind of frustrating at times but I had a lot of fun running it. The race seemed to shuffle up the finishing order a little bit too. I also had somebody to race with most of the race it seemed.

All in all, slow but exciting race from where I was at. I personally would like to see a rain race once a season. Especially since there are drop weeks.

Also, it made it even more fun that there was almost 2 full servers. So I am happy people showed up. The race might have lost its fun if there was only 8 people in the server.

Good racing all. I had fun.

You know I agree, as much as it sucked in the Supra to be off pace, I had fun as well. You really had to concentrate!!
With Tokyo, and Redbull having rain, and with this weekends announcement of Spa having rain, we can definitely look into a guaranteed rain race in the future.

Not to take anything away from @NASCARNATE91 ability's, but to have an overall second when normally being mid pack, I’m very happy with that and everyone that was able to finish ahead of myself. I had fun running against @RotaryRiot and @Moby45 I was driving my 🤬 off trying to stay ahead of you guys but your pull off the corners was no match for me.

I appreciate the recognition man. I didn’t know what to expect going into this race. After the mock race I realized I might have a shot so I approached the race just focusing on not over driving it and keeping the rear tires in good shape. Oh yeah, and don’t spin out entering the pits like I did in the mock.

I found that using tcs 0 was faster for me, but I had to be very careful once the tires started to wear down. I did toggle it to 1 when coming out of the T2 hairpin which helped acceleration. Everywhere else it just felt like it was too slow.

Well done to everyone that finished the race. It wasn't an easy combo.

Currently tied for the points lead if I really think about it.....

We drop two races for the season. Currently the first 2 races will be dropped for all.

Actually the lowest 2 scores will be dropped for the season. If a driver scores in all 12 races, the top 10 scores will go towards overall point total. If drivers compete in 10 races (or less) those scores are combined for overall total.
Two score drop allows drivers to have an “off week” or two, or miss 2 races.
To say that the first 2 races will be “dropped for all” is not accurate.

Unless they're confident that they can earn more than the first two. Any points multiplier for me?

Yes!!! Tell him, Nick! Lol

My tactic for the rain, is I never see much as far as the multi color rpm shift bar light dohickey thing. I was shifting very early to try to avoid as much tire spin as I could. It seemed to help a little anyway.

I shifted later but at the end I never dicovered how to prevent wheel spin
Plus the Nissan gtr has a turbocharger so it made it pretty dam hard

You’re ruining my hopes and dreams. Lmao
