I know for sure my home network is set up well with a lot of customization on the router. This is mainly aimed for optimized performance across two frequencies that we use, mainly 2.4GHz and 5GHz. (I can grant or wreck my family member's network access at home lol)

However I still do not rule out my geographical distance from the other side of the world as a contributing factor that led to struggling of everyone's connection. To be frank, I noted quite a lot of cars "jittering" across the track on my replay during the last race.

But if it comes to an ultimatum that I shall not be able to partake in subsequent or future events, I might have to reconsider my position and also future opportunities.

OK I've never encountered that before, probably another shadow restriction that isn't even well documented or stated by the game or system.

Hmmm it's pretty fine if it doesn't work. Usually I'd just stream the replay and upload it to YouTube as a private video.

I wouldn't automatically blame your connection as a contributing factor in any lag or jittering.
I have been running my Series now for two years and I have a lot of members from all over the world who participate. (Knocking on wood now) We have been fortunate enough not to have any lobby issues in that 2 year time frame. Now one would think we should be having all kinds of lobby problems with that many people scattered all over the globe.

Here is where it gets strange.
Its only when I get into lobbies or host a lobby where almost everyone is from the USA that these lobby issues start becoming a problem.
You would think since everyone is from the same country that everyone's connections would be way more reliable but it's not for some strange reason. Even though most of the US now has some of the best internet connection speeds even in some of the most remote places.

So just because there is some lobby issues I'm almost betting your probably not the cause.

Another thought that crossed my mind is “saved” lobbies. I’ve heard that after an update any lobbies that you may have saved should be deleted and recreated. That could have been an issue?

You are absolutely correct. I personally don't know if this is still an issue because I've been burned by it before so I always create a new lobby the day of the race in place of using a saved one.

Yes but I host “used” lobbies all the time all of the Endurance lobbies are used with no issues.

On the contrary, I think you should continue and look out for other opportunities as well *Insert IRS Series Information Here*. I honestly didn't see any issues from you on Saturday so you should be fine to continue. 👍
I've seen many great league series in the forums here, but my biggest barrier is: timezone. Most of the league are based in US, so that's a 14-16 hour difference in time zone which puts me in a very compromising position.

I have expressed desire to join more than one, but it has to be ruled out at the moment unless I'm migrating to the US tomorrow (lol). However, for other opportunities I would never close the door at all time.

I wouldn't automatically blame your connection as a contributing factor in any lag or jittering.

Yes, I agree that this may be a one-off issue. I recall the All-Star event which badly plagued me to the point that I couldn't race due to network problems.

Just hope they wouldn't screw up the servers badly again after the update.

Anywho, stepdad racing has decided that with the loss of engines in the Supra week 1 and week 3, that @Neutty will be running a new machine within the next few weeks. Details are to come.

@PApunk924 has also changed his vehicular device for the season as well.. details soon to come.

I can't wait to do doughnuts in Nick's lobby again. Next time we have issues, I'm just going to go out and do doughnuts until we start the race. I know he'd appreciate it. ;)

I'd like to throw my name into the lucky pot for this weekend. Another reason to be better this weekend.

Meanwhile for the humor up next...

Press Release
For Immediate Dissemination

The Ford GT LM Spec II Car has been recently discovered to be running a secret turbofan in the front hood. Originally it's meant for expelling air from the front intakes on the stock car. However, this has been specifically modified to create a lower pressure profile in the frontal structure of the car during acceleration and cornering, thus increasing speed and downforce. It has been self-declared legal without any Technical Steward intervention as per the regulations set for ARL Group 3 Cars.

On the contrary, the concept has been tested and disproven on last weekend's race. Because it's deemed legal and yet too slow to catch up to the leaders'.

Conclusion: It's just an ordinary powered fan used to suck away the air in front whilst keeping the cockpit cool, not spin the car and put it in the wall.
