I’ll tell you what. When you move on a day or two or in this case 3 days later, it’s a game. When we/I get competitive the “it’s a game” goes out the window for me. I’ve always been this way. Especially since I use to race go karts and have multiple track championships and wins under multiple belt. Not being able to do that anymore makes this “game” more real for me. It allows me to get the “fix” I need that I have missed for many years. Whether it was you or someone else please don’t quit racing with us due to keeping 1 eye in the rear view mirror. If you think for a second that is fast guys don’t drive in the mirror you are mistaking. We might be looking in the mirror more than you currently are. The only way you can get better is by doing. I’m an idiot for going off the way I did, I should not have done that because I too was in your shoes a long time ago and remember what it’s like to feel slow. Heck in D1 in snail I still feel like I am in the way at times. The one thing I can say is when you do go off track, yes tires are limited with grip but also during that moment is the perfect time to glance at the radar and figure out what the best thing to do is.
BEING LAPPED TRAFFIC ISNT SO MUCH WATCHING THE MIRROR. ITS MORE ABOUT HOLDING YOUR LINE.
I say that because I see more and more people pulling off into the grass to allow people to pass where they then make a mistake and end up with damage then taking their fun out of the equation.
I honestly didn’t know you were off track at one point when I came up on you. It is an unfortunate racing situation that could have been avoided by BOTH parties. My problem was I was trying to keep tabs with a fast closing Nascarcory and got ahead of myself when I came up on you and made a bonehead mistake. I should have slowed my tempo down which may have let him by but would have been the safest way around for all 3 of us.
