Thank you everyone for coming this evening. We want to start by thanking our previous season's sponsors. Without them we wouldn't be racing. Unfortunately, due to a lackluster performance and some unsavory driver issues they will not return for season 5.
Our season was full of ups and downs, twists and turns and a few penalties, but we were able to pull off a *air quotes* "decent" season. However, we found driver NerdFam6 was partaking in some disturbing off-track activities involving clowns and rubber chickens. We wont go into details, but we have relieved him of his contract and have hired IDreamIn_GT3 for season 5, at a significant discount I might add *wink*. Along with a new driver comes a new sponsor and car.
Smokey Top Racing has chosen the Ford Mustang and Budweiser has enthusiastically sponsored our team. We look forward to season 5 and a truck full of beer.

ARL SEASON 5 CHANGES
I will address the elephant in the room first, the tire wear and fuel consumption has changed drastically for season 5. The goal is to get the cars back to being on track more and in the pits less, the 5 lap sprint races from pit stop to pit stop was an embarrassment to myself personally. Season 4 i took a big swing and miss and did not want to repeat that for season 5. This is our first time doing anything remotely close to this and just like anything, will develop over time. These settings can change throughout the year incase GTS decides to change the tire model like they do (normally right in the middle of an ARL Gr3 season).
Tire: as you have noticed on the schedule there are 2 tire compounds for each race, you can run the tires any which way you want. We don't want to make drivers use both compounds unless that's what they choose to do. With tire and fuel going down we are hoping this will increase the time spent on track, shorten pit stops, and increase the competitive racing we all enjoy.
Fuel: fuel has been scaled down and has been tested retested and will continue to be tested lol. Our goal in scaling the fuel consumption down should reduce pit stops drastically and optimize time spent on track. The objective is to have the fuel last at least 1 full stint with the softest tire which should increase the number of strategies that can be ran along with keeping drivers on track more.
I would like to take this time and also let everyone know that the car selection is now open for any driver wanting to switch cars. Car selections is on a first come first serve basis, drivers are free to change their car up until the first race of the season. The car list can be found on the Gr3 Hub. any driver who does not have a car picked by the start of S5R1 will be moved to inactive until a car selection is made. good luck in season 5 everyone thank you for making this league as great as it is

- We now have a dedicated thread to IR reports and the link to the form please take a second and read the thread to get caught up. This should make filing an IR a little easier we hope. This will also cover all ARL series Endurance, Gr2, Gr3, Gr4, Gr3 tune, etc.
- Team and driver championships will continue
- We are cracking down on concession penalties this season and will now be a 9 point penalty for not conceding if you cause a wreck. If you need info on conceding check out @PApunk924 concession video
- Qualifying will be reduced to 10 minutes instead of the 15 we have been running this should help us get started on time so the east coast guys can get done before 1 hopefully.
- 64% on the survey wanted to keep races at 45 minutes so that will not change.
- Car value for wildcard stay at a 1 million cap for season 5
- We will be adding the 3rd wildcard back into the mix, with that being stated your top 2 wildcard finishes will be the only ones to count.
