ANNOUNCEMENT:
Inside ARL has learned that Cornbread, BRCCRT team owner and driver of the Famous 43, has inked a one season deal with Audi Autosports to drive their R8 GT3 entry.
Inside ARL: We know you've been testing a few different manufacturers, how did you settle on Audi?
CB: The car just seemed to fit my style of driving a little better. I like to change things up and run different cars that we don't normally see on track. Showcase their brand and performance for the world to see and take note of. Plus, we have to pay them to use the car.
Inside ARL: Pay them?
CB: Yeah, we didn't get an offer from anybody else, so we went to Audi and said "Look, we'll pay you." And they accepted. I don't know if they're strapped for cash or what. Terms of the contract are sealed, so don't ask about how much or what form.
Inside ARL: But fans want to kn....
CB: Canada! I promised them Canada, OK! I told them I could convince the President to sell them Canada.
Inside ARL: But the US doesn't....
CB: SSSSHHHHHH!!!!! They don't know that! So shut your lip. Besides, Canada doesn't want Canada, just go ask that Maple Syrup team, so I'm sure it'll all work out in the end. I'd like to thank our long time sponsor, Black Rifle Coffee Company, and welcome back NITTO Tires, Valvoline, and VP Racing Fuels for their second season with BRCCRT. And as many of you are aware, we also have a third seat still available to any ARL Gold, or Silver Division driver. Thank you. No further questions and no autographs at this time, please.
Inside ARL was not able to confirm if teammate @Rob Pardun would also pilot an Audi. But we were granted access to a test session and photo shoot of the new Black Rifle Coffee Company Audi R8.
