A recent post on the Eu Playstation blog repeats much of what we've just heard including details of the NA release date (Nov 2nd)...Here

It has been noted that this does not all necessarily apply to Europe (:scared:) and has promised to look into the actual European date 👍

Are you just assuming that by the trailer, or did PD say that GT5 will be 8 cars on track?

If you look at the trailer and all the screenshots that were released today, none have more than 8 cars.

Of course it's entirely possible that the game can (and will) do races with more than 8 cars, but it would seem really strange to me not to show it if they're doing it.

Collectors edition only gets you a voucher for 5 DLC cars. Every car in the E3 demo was labeled as PREMIUM. There is no mention of exclusive cars in the CE other than the DLC cars. And even those will probably be available to everyone as DLC whether you have the CE or not.

Okay, scratch that theory then.

Red Bull
I just wonder what PD have up their sleeve with Red bull. Perhaps it's where you can view and gather information on each car of the red bull team and be able to purchase from there?
Release date
Anyways I am so happy that a release date has been announced for North America and that on the EU blog it shows November 2010 indicating not to far behind.
Trailer
I was extremely pleased with the trailer considering we had seen no footage what so ever of the Top gear test track. The footage was incredible and many classic clips were shown such as the Evo X vs Subaru Impreza. Also the inclusion of Maerati was very pleasing. I also loved the fact we also got to see the Lamborghini Murcielago LP640. Admittedly this is one of my favourite cars and I hope to see more of the raging bull soon such as the Reventon and so on. Next, the day to night. I love this feature and I am relieved that it is included. One thing I am definatley interested in is the voice over of Sebastien Vettel and the footage of Adrian Newey, the designer of the Red Bull F1 cars (correct me if I'm wrong), talking to Kazunori. It will be interesting to see if their F1 car will be included. The WRC cars look very impressive indeed. I particularly love the Focus and I hope this is followed up by the road going RS (currently my favourite car.) One thing that did bug me though is that I'm not sure of point to point stages but I'm almost sure this is included. I've never really been a fan of NASCAR but PD manager to make it look incredible as always. Surprisingly with 24 hpurs of Le Mans just gone by I thought for sure we were going to see a piece of Le Mans showcasing a small day to night cycle but hey you can't ask for everything. Finally, you could tell there was going to be a release date at the end due to the fact of the sound build up from the start of the GT logo.
Overall I am extremely pleased with PD's efforts and I am willing to wait until November for this truly incredible looking game. :)

What the money ballz are you talking about, thats simple trailer just talks for it self

there is nothing else to show, we wanted the release date.

that release was US because E3 is for US, im sure Nov 2 is also For Europe and Japan.

Would you not have wanted Kaz on the stage giving a demo, a talk through the game, after this wait I think its reasonable.

Why not say worldwide then, the world isnt USA ;)

To be honest - I can live with that.
We have day/night cycle, damage, some best graphics+3D.

The most interesting part of the trailer for me had to be the part with Seb Vettel providing the commentary with the overlay of Adrian Newey ... looking good for the F1 cars! :)

Yes your right, and i wanted to see Translator san too :D

I think most American people when they say world wide they are actually talking about their country

Did you also know that some of them think that the world ends at their shores? *no joke*

I HIGHLY doubt they would go from 16 in Prologue to 8 in the full game. That would make no sense at all. Probably the reason they didn't show 16 at a time was because we already have that in Prologue.

I am extremely happy with E3 so far, and we still have two more days of possible news!

to me it sounded like he was reading pace notes for rally stages. but that might just be me.

Honestly im disappointed about this trailer everything is awesome except for the minor damage shown. I was expecting HUGE crashes with major damage done especially for the GT cars and Nascar cars. Maybe we just need to wait for tomorrow or TGS when it comes around sometime in September.

:embarrassed: Alfa 8C!!!

And obviously, the long-time awaited release date. ;)

Nice, within my expectations.

The muscle cars looks incredible! Still hate the fact there are only 8 cars on track though.

It could be a quickly cobbled together video and your in Sweden; just for complaining I hope its delayed a MONTH in Europe. As much as I love Europe and Sweden (had a great time) I just can't stand half glass empty people they really bug me.

This was for the North American market, its E3 not the World Conference on Games, EU has a similar show and we don't go complaining about some EU only game coming to America and then bitch about the lack of damage and only X amount of cars in a demo video.

You believe its graphics? I doubt it, its pleasing you wanna-be Sim Racers that have to have realistic lighting, damage modeling, weather and driving physics or not a real game anymore.

Well Boo-Hoo, it only has 8 car, it likely has 16, why downgrade and if they did I'm sure there's good reason.
