I'm quite certain that is not a wind tunnel, but rather an autoclave....not sure what that means........

Me neither, could it be making and testing your own custom carbon parts whilst being advised all the way by Adrian Newey? 💡

The driving aspects explained by Vettel and the engineering/ customization/ designing aspects explained by one of the master engineers of Formula 1?

Where is this place?

Lucerne, Switzerland 👍. Nice place.

How do you know that 8 is all we'll get in the game? Just because thats all we've seen in the trailer doesn't necessarily confirm thats all we'll have for the final game. Thats honestly not even logical to pull off after having a smaller game with 16.
I know it's not logical, but if I recall correctly, PD have never been very logical. I think they simply realized that if they were gonna improve the graphics from GT5P, add damage and add weather effects, they couldn't keep the framerate good enough with 16 cars on track.

I would love to be proven wrong though!

Huge crashes?

With over 192 cars at N24, no major carnage.

With 55 cars at Le Mans last weekend, no major carnage, mostly single car accidents.

You must watch NASCAR too much with half talented drivers populating the grid and everybody in the same corner at the same time, its no shock there's serious mashups.

If you can drive correctly you won't see any spectacular accidents, there plenty of games for that - Blur, Split Second, NFS-Shift, Burnout, Dirt, GRID, etc, etc, etc.

Well actually NASCAR is what i watch least. Every driver from every other type of racing isn't perfect. Crashes do happen, people racing in F1 don't have perfect races every race, every season. The reason I referred to NASCAR is because if you remember this post https://www.gtplanet.net/gt5s-nascar-cars-get-smashed-into-little-pieces/ which quoted Kaz saying “In GT5, NASCAR cars will able to smash into little pieces – some the size of a bolt.” You would understand exactly what I was expecting. If you are placing me in the stereotype of redneck NASCAR lover simply because i live in Texas i find that kind of rude. Just think about where I am coming from next time if you could.

Question what is the track at 1:33 of the E3 video?

I don't think it's the top gear track because those columns don't look familiar

It's the "Red Bull hangar no.7" in Salzburg / Austria...
I am afraid this is only for photomode...

I've got to say, overall im reeeeaaaallly pleased with the trailer, especially the Top gear track footage and the lighting effects at night. Mmmmmmh, its beautiful!!!...but...

...I start University on sept 25th!!!!!!! This means that after Nov 2nd, I'm going to have to chose between Uni...and GT5!!! noooooooo!

Not looking good for the EU people, just checked the US gran turismo site with the release date listed as news here http://us.gran-turismo.com/us/. However when you look at the EU sites (GB for example) http://eu.gran-turismo.com/gb/ the date is no where to be found.

EDIT: If there is no date confirmed for EU yet, I do expect one at Gamescom this is a definate. I'm sure during the conference Jack tretton said "We will release more info about more cars etc from now till the release."

If you check out the trailer on the UK section of the Gran Turismo site, it ends with "November 2010", not the specific "2nd Novermber 2010" on the E3 trailer

In the Top Gear track section, is it just me or do the cars move much quicker than they should be moving? The sliding cars gain grip too quickly and the cars taking the tyre wall turn look like they're gripping too much to me.

It looks stunning though.

What's what you call a LEAP, I didn't know you were from Texas and I could care less, Everyday People is what we are, I don't play that BS.

All motorsports had accidents and deaths. All I am saying is when I play any game that has damage like Pro Race Driver, I don't cause many accidents because it means I'll loose, I don't like to loose.

Sure it would be fun to cartwheel like Phil Parsons or Rusty Wallace at Talladega or Joey Hand at Mid Ohio, I'm just saying they don't happen often enough to be harping about damage in games. If its there, its there, it won't make gameplay any better.

It think that it's pretty much confirmed. There will be only 8 cars on the track. But that's fine for me. We got damage, we got dynamic time of day and much more.

Looking at the demo (again...) at 1:30, we see a soundboard....?.....showing they've heard our cries (literally) for better sound developement perhaps???

I highly doubt that. The soundboard was part of development from the beginning. Maybe they're just reassuring us that they have been using old sounds in demos and vids thus far.

Ahhh thankyou for clearing this up.

Boy I really need to open my eyes more. I'm sorry everyone.

Thank god that PD and Sony had the mercy to put the release date in the same month as the U.S. I feel as though we will get the full release date at Gamescom for EU and full release date for Japan at TGS. :D

anyone hopes too that lights can be switched on and off by ourselves???
or will it be done automatically when sun goes down/up?...
? Good Question, but likely one of the buttons turn them on. You can likely have them on during the day if you want.

Too many questions about the game, for GS, they just mention a rock solid release date be happy, pre-order if you must.

I need to buy a console...

NASCAR with 8 cars on track just seems silly to me. Without a bunch of cars on the track NASCAR isn't really NASCAR.

I'm not really looking forward to the NASCAR all that much, so I'm not so dissapointed about the car numbers.
