Speedfreak69 is right. Even with the internet messing with the sound it is still terrible. I am not trying to be pessimistic, its just that its not good, plain and simple. Does effect my purchase of GT5, no.

I must say i'm a little gutted about how the premium vs standard is shapeing out.I did raise this issue before were I tried working out time vs the modelling team on the GT5p credits.
I haven't raced a sim since before GP3 that didn't have a dashboard view and I can't see myself using any other view now if the no dashboard thin is true.

I really think PD should out source some of this work,I do think the intention (as i've said before) is getting the cars at a level were you could drop the models onto PS4 and they'll hold up by improving textures,shaders,lighting so they look like the PD trailers we get now.

It's just a shame (if true) we still wont get a properly complete GT until this task is complete and the tracks are fully updated next gen.

About the sound, it sounds really good on the outside view for the NASCAR. Even the Camaro SS sound awesome. But the ford GT is still the same, which is quite sad.

Don't start something stupid, it does take skill to drive a real Nascar whether you want to believe it or not. It may not be the best thing to watch all the time, but I'm sure playing it with real physics will be fun.

I'm not a NASCAR fan either, but you don't have to play it. PD including NASCAR does not take away from the finale product.

I like NASCAR and I'm glad it's in, but I'm more excited about LeMans and F1 cars.

You play GT enough, you will get into it, its just another form of motorsport, NASCAR, GT4 left me wanting for some good oval racing, Indianapolis might seem boring because for the most part its flat out, but tighter shorter ovals really keep you on your toes.

Wow, seriously Guy on the wheel has been on for 30 mins, keeps restarting, and seems to have no concept of the brake pedal or even modulation of the gas.

I'm not saying it doesn't take skill, As you can see from the stream even on standard physics these noobs seem to have a complete lack of understanding about over/understeer I just think PD's time would have been better spent elsewhere... We would probably be playing it already had they not have included NASCAR, Zonda_Guy I too am way more excited about F1 and LeMans. CarolinaBlue unfortunately we probably will have to play it to complete the game... and driving round in circles is not my idea of fun no matter how challenging the car is! Remember the old Test Track on GT3 or 4 I can't remember which one, the only thing that made it bearable was the challenge of being absolutely perfect with all your lines to get the right slipstream to win... I know that is in essence the thing about NASCAR but it is just not for me.

The sound will be awesome when we get the game on our home systems!! They are not streaming 5.1 or 7.1 true HD audio here... Beleve me the .1 makes all the difference, having done a degree in Music Technology I know just how much of the sound is lost when the sound is folded down into a stereo mix and then compressed for internet streaming!

You are right though I haven't driven one, I have however driven a host of other racing cars in real life and they all offer a different challenge. I'm just assuming that due to the high speed of a NASCAR they are also Challenging!!!
