Is that this by any chance
TONIGHT 6PM ET: E3 LIVE 2010 - A live demo of the long-awaited GRAN TURISMO 5. Definitely worth the wait!

Yep, that's the coverage. It's all hands-on and it covers a bunch of games including Gran Turismo 5.

Anything we see in that live feed that is of any interest will coincide with the Live TV broadcast.

DeadSpace 2 is being covered now.

This G4TV promotion of GT5 is downright embarrassing. If I were KY I would be cringing.

Yeah, both instances. The one from 90 minutes ago and the one that was just on with some guy challenging the nascar dude's time.

It's similar to the age old thing of F1 drivers trying rallying and it ussually ends in tears but rally drivers having a go at F1 aren't too far off the pace. I just think there is less of a challenge in just turning left and slipstreaming than both rallying and tarmac track racing (non oval)

What are you talking about? A good driver is a good driver, F1 drivers can hack rallying just as much as rally drivers can hack F1.
Arguably though, rally drivers would find F1 tougher simply because of the G-forces.

I seem to remember one NASCAR driver doing ok in an F1 car (and vice versa):

I have seen that video before. I cant remember where I saw the other one but there have definitely been cases in the past of F1 drivers giving rallying a go and failing miserably (apart from the Fins who can rally before they can walk ;-)) Crashing very expensive rally cars! Its a completely different driving style throwing the car into a gravel corner than precisely threading your car round a corner. Yes I agree the rally drivers don't face the same amount of G-forces AS f1 but still They seem to have had more success when trying it out. I'll try and dig out the source for you all. It was a really interesting documentary but I think it had Jonathan Ledgard in it part way through which kind of ruined it for me hehe!

Do you understand how sound files work? 'Cause if you do, you'd know you can't compare streaming a live real life event, to a live stream of a video game.

You can't compare the two.

And you understand that audio quality has nothing to do with how inacurate the base sound is, right?
Let's not get into the sound argument again, it has it's own thread.

Yes you can. What I'm trying to say is any racing game streamed still sounds better than GT. You can't just blame it on the stream, when it's clear that the interior sounds nothing like a real nascar would.

More GT5 Footage and discussion is coming up on G4TV within the hour. Sessler just advertised it.

Assassin`s Creed: Brotherhood is being demo`d now.

And how can you judge how accurate the sound is based on a low quality live stream? That's my point.

I've heard NASCARS in person by the way. Unlike some people on this forum, I'll wait to judge the sound when I get the game in my hands and hear it on my sound system.

To be fair, all these discussions are pretty pointless, NASCAR sound day/night transitions, premium standard cars. Everyone on this site is going to buy the game when it comes out whatever happens between now and then (apart from an apocalypse maybe) I know its good to have these discussions but will it affect us buying the game will it F!!!

We are all GT fans and we will all buy the game and play it until GT6 comes out!! No doubt we will all complain about various features that are lacking/included when the game is released but we can't really expect PD to cater for every single persons requirements! you can never please everyone!

That's not what you originally said.

But you can spend the next 5 months worrying about the sound. I'll wait to judge the sound when I get the game.
