Maybe they only got dust working for single car rallies / TT? Seems unlikely, but we've only seen it working with one car on track.

I'm thinking the dirt isn't sticking to the cars because it is arcade mode. There'd be no reason for it to stick, whereas in GT mode you actually have the ability to wash your car. So, in conclusion, I think cars will only get dirty in the main mode.

Not only that but in the replay you can see a proper hood cam aswell as a roof cam, I hope we can play in the hood cam.

Well.. unfortunately that's only on replay :-(

Well, it could get dirt during the race at least.

Guys the game is amazing for what we get, and what's on it, and the quality of it. I'm sorry that you can't drive your car up into the carwash by yourself. and that you can't take the PS move and twist the oil cap off to change your oil.

I see your point but it kinda doesn't really make sence to me.

The guy doesn't even do a full lap and people instantly jump to the conclusion that dust isn't sticking to the car. Doesn't take a bit longer than 2 minutes for dust to accumulate on a car?

11) Whiny little babies.

lol

complaining about missing features that were already present in demo versions or simply promised by the developer is called now whining little babies ?
WOW just WOW

If we cannot complain or criticize this, i dont know what we can criticize + believe me : not criticizing the negative aspects of GT5 wont help polyphony digital, in the contrary...

Hi all,

First post in GTPlanet!

I've noticed that although it might be incomplete there doesn't seem to be any information about on-line functionality in the manual's scans that RDK posted.

Is there any video that even sheds any light on this (e.g. from what place it's accessible)?

You just said it yourself. We have seen all of this in demos. We have had all of this confirmed and confirmed again.

No one is in any place to say something is not in the game when it has been stated it is many times.

I believe thats what Kaz wants. He wants us to be in awe at the sheer awesomeness of the game. He has even stated himself that he forgets hes playing a game when he plays GT5. For someone with his credentials and racing experience, to for get a game is just a game, means a lot more than you people give credit.

So until you pop that game into your PS3, and find out what really is and isn't in the game. I would stop worrying, and just wait. I think we are all going to be very happy with the final product.

Kaz wouldn't have it any other way.

So counting the game's presumed flaws until now:

1) The damage system isn't realistic.
2) You can't change the rims on a standard car.
3) The Veyron is a standard model.
4) The dust doesn't stick to the car in that Rally video.
If I'm missing something feel free to add it to the list.

1) Different settings.
2) Whatever
3) It sucks anyway
4) We've seen in the GameStop video it does.
You've yet to play it.

I'm sorry, but that manual also looks fishy. All black and white and not one single art or design in it. Especially the fact that there is no picture that explains the HUD.

GT5P manual was pretty much the same. 16 pages, 2 pages with pretty pictures, no HUD explanation. The other 149 pages were credits.
Seriously, you're hell bent on proving RDK is a fake or something.

You get to play from the hood view and the roof view is in the replays.
That's perfectly fine with me.
It's the other way round, you get to play in the roof view but there's also a bonnet view in the replays.
