22b sounded about right in GT4. Should be ok in gt5 on older models. You need to remember the lumpy boxer sound you're thinking of is because of uneven header length. The new subarus have changed so they don't have that sound. Maybe we can buy uneven headers in game though?

How is that Peugeot beating an Integra Type R, a Mitsubishi 3000GT, a Silvia, a Celica GT4 and whatever else?

The Integra (AI) did very well in that race actualy, going to 1st place (before i ask my pilot (the 3000GT, tuned) to overtake it again (a pilot left alone way ahead of others tend to lose a lot of its pace).

Maybe these cars just don't sound too good because of the probably rather poor recording equipment on cameras that videos have been taken with. I would expect that every single car in every video we have seen will sound a hell of a lot better when playing the actual game instead of just hearing them through sound recorded by a camera which it's grabbed from the air which is coming out of god knows what kind of set up to start with.

On another note, I am looking forward to taking a car around the Eiger in the rain.

The rain in direct capture 720p.

My first rain race, and without any driving assist, so don't be surprise of the driving "style" :dopey:

Don't forget it's 720p, put this 720p and full screen if you computer can handle it.

It was a direct capture. If you are talking about the most recent Subaru video.

Wow those headlight beams are glitchy (I thought they were supposed to be dynamic). I'm surprised they left it like that.
Looks like the drivers had way too much coffee too lol

WHY can't GT or for that matter most games, ever get the sound of a subaru boxer right.

Basically all the other major games do have it considerably better.

p.s. It doesn't really matter what generation it is, or how tuned it is, but if I were just hearing that GT clip, I would have never guessed that it was an Impreza...:guilty:

Nice video!
But the yellow miatas remind me a bit of this :sly:

I almost forgot this...another major flaw of GT5: too much grip on a wet track. The cars seem to have the same "inertia" wether it's dry or wet. Honestly, driving with N3 tires on Prologue is more demanding. Plus, the grip level is the same on the whole width of the track. It's too unrealistic.

No I just meant in general. I haven't actually seen any direct feed Subaru footage. Hell I've barely seen any direct feed footage at all. Obviously there should be a lot more now though and coming.

I know that, but most difference in sound pretty much comes from header design/exhaust system, but never mind that, just listen to that clip one more time, it sounds like an angry distorted flute full of bees, and while that might sound nice in a metaphor, unfortunately it doesn't have anything to do with how the actual Impreza sounds. Any Impreza.

Just heard it :scared: maybe because it is tuned they change the headers which changes the sound in the STI drastically, but I don't think it sounds like that with different headers.

Just reserve final judgment for when you have the actual game playing on your ps3 through your speakers at home

The video with all the yellow Miatas scared me when it started! Looks like an angry little mob!
