Not sure if it's old or new but it looks great :

Ford Mustang (Trans-Cammer) '70 - Cote D'Azur

Fixed for ya, not sure it's new for all but it's the first time I've seen the Trans-Cammer from within cockpit view so thanks.👍

Any chance of someone posting some gameplay footage/replays containing nothing but standard cars? I really want to see how they look, especially as some cars apparently just have flat textures for the headlights since they're not properly modelled.

I was just thinking, if you take standard cars on dynamic night cycle tracks the headlights do still work right? Like they did in Gt4 in SSR7 for example

seems like yeah...
and not only replays, but in actual gameplay as well - rain/snow/dust/smoke at some points.
I guess they will release patch to fix this,or not.who knows.
Unlikely. That would be the writing of new code, which would no doubt take a long time and a crap load of resources.

are replays with rain/smoke going to look like this in GT5?!?!

They aren't going, they actually are right now =)
And i doubt there'll be afix. It's a Antialiasin/Thick-Particles Problem.

Recreated it in Uncharted 2 on a Multiplayermap by setting the Particle-Fog to full denseness.

Normal Fog

Dense Fog - as the Smoke in GT5

The alpha blending (transparency) in volumetric effects (smoke, clouds) is too intesive as it is for the PS3 to add anti-alias over it, that would cripple the framerate, the alpha blending filter already uses a very low resolution and very rounded up values because it's too demanding for the hardware.

It was a direct capture. If you are talking about the most recent Subaru video.

Yes, but this effect is better in motion, and the Youtube compression doesn't help, as like any destructive encoder, it doesn't like dense details moving fast, like particules. Encoder are just don't made for this, as jpeg encoding.
During the capture of this video, i wasn't upset by this effect, actualy i found it nice.

The jaggies are not bad as the one in the video, this due to the compression process being used for youtube.

how many different ways are you ppl going to point this obvious flaw out???? i think we get it yeah????? just add it to the list of thousands that you have already mentioned over and over and over again... while you're busy taking screen captures of this 'flaw' i'll be enjoying the game for what it is...... am i a 'fanboy'? no, am i a fan of GT? oh yeah.... i know it's flawed and will never be as good as my expectations but i have embraced that.... built the bridge and now i just want to enjoy the game once i get my grubby little hands on it...
