yeah im interested in this too, im in the UK though
would probably use the hachi-roko or something,
are exhausts and airfilters allowed?

Also you could maybe do three different classes like Touge Showdown

Look, the mod's hardly ever visit the subforum so self-policing is necessary. There already are a couple of touge clubs, they're just in the online racing sub-forum which IS the correct place for it. That being said, it's a great idea. Stop picking on nk4e just because he wants to keep the drift forum clean.

Please explain where I have picked on him. However enough keep it to PM's. I have said my part on how I believe and clearly many others believe it involves drifting. So please don't join in and create an argument which isn't needed. Duh. 👍

There's a reason I didn't quote your post, I wasn't actually talking directly to you. I was really just making a comment in general. Every time he tries to regain some order around here people jump on him. Wasn't tryin to jump on you :)

It true that some situations I get jumped on, but sometimes its because I made the wrong choice. As for tuning tips, I would run the course stock before doing anything. So far, I like balance cars because your technique can improve greatly.

Generally speaking In touge you do not need high powered vehicles since most of it is corners whats most important is weight. A 200 horsepower trueno apex with good suspension set-up can preform much better then a heavy car with a big engine (mustang)

Thanks for all the sign-ups guys. The classes will probably be like this...

Stock class - Beginner Class racers

Street class - Beginner and intermediate racers

Sport class - Intermediate and Advanced racers

Mod class - Advanced and Pro racers

each class will have their own car restrictions which i am still working on. If you guys have any suggestions, let me know!

also, for whoever wanted to know, I'm in GMT -5. And I don't see why this should get locked. Touge is the heart, soul, and inspiration for drifting. Without touge, drifting probably wouldn't be around.

Personally I'll be running a nearly stock 97 Mr2 Limited :) Just an adjustable height suspension and Weight reduction stage 2.

Out of curiosity how would that be classified?

I think you nailed the definition of touge perfectly :)

It depends on your skill as a driver. If you are an excelent driver in that car, then you could race it in any class that you like. but even the best of racers would probably struggle in that car in the higher classes where everyone will be in faster cars...so i would classify it as a street car depending on skill.

And thank you, I thought I did a decent job :D

EDIT: I'm gonna make restrictions for each class and put it in the OP. Let me know what you guys think of them

Ohhh okay, so you'll determine class by how we do competition wise each session? I have to admit I'd like to see an "affordable street modified" class. You know like stuff that we would drive or could afford IRL :)

PS By "we" I mean impoverished college students who drive impractical cars as daily drivers :)

Oh don't worry. With the progression of the club, you can expect to see some pretty fun classes form. I think tomorrow we should have a Stock Class meet. No goals. Just try to follow someone around the track and see where you stand with your car and such. I think it would be fun since we are all beginners right now :D
