Gran Turismo 6... If not pre-ordered..?

The Anniversary Edition and bonus Anniversary Edition stuff is clearly listed as pre-order bonuses.

Where?

On the Gran Turismo site (in my region UK) under Pre-Order it shows a picture of the GT6 Anniversary Edition and beside it, we have the words pre-order offer and beneath that it says Precision Pack and then lists the cars.

Below that, it shows a picture of the Standard Edition and next to that it says pre-order offer Precision Pack + One of the extra packs with their names or 1m credits.

Each edition has it's own image, and the pre-order bonuses for each are clearly defined to the right of the covers. How does that "clearly" state that just the Anniversary Edition is only a Pre-order version?

Maybe where you live, but not in my country.

Huh.
All North America sites (Gamestop, EBGames, Amazon) list the anniversary edition as a pre-order bonus.

And on the GT website, there is a link to show details for the Anniversary Edition. Click on it, and you are taken to the pre-order catalogue.

In the NA region the Anniversary Edition is a free upgrade when you pre-order the standard edition from Gamestop was what I heard, but I thought that you could also buy the Anniversary Edition separately in Canada.

Like I said, not in my country.

Last time I checked, Switzerland wasn't in North America.

The problem here is that they both are called the same thing, but give you different things. For example, the US GameStop gives you 20(25?) extra cars. But in other countries, you can get a steelbook with other bonuses.

It's still confusing to me.

Do you have the option on GS of buying either edition?

The car bonus is exactly the same. Only the precision pack cars won't be included if you don't preorder it.

At GameStop (US) it's like this:

You pre-order the game like any other and you receive the 25 bonus cars, custom paint, helmets and avatar. You don't get any special steelbook.

The steelbook is a bonus for other regions then.

But it seems the OP is in the Philippines, so not entirely sure on that region. But I think he shouldn't have any trouble getting either edition online.

The guy who created the thread is not from the USA.
Why is everybody referring to the NA offers?

Seriously?

The steelbook is for Asia only. That makes sense, as Japan is in Asia.

Asia gets the most extra stuff, Europe get a steelbook, NA gets free Anniversary Edition cars from the Standard edition.

The OP is from the Asia region, I think. So he should have plenty of choice of editions.

in the US, we get the anniversary edition as a free upgrade at game stop and from what the GT site says, i'm guessing all the initial copies they get will be anniversary edition. then they'll probably keep getting them along with standard editions through the holidays. at that point, the anniversary edition will probably cost $70-80.

So guys, in order to clear up any possible confusion, I mean to say as anniversary edition, as the edition without the GT-R die cast. The limited edition, not collector's pack or racing pack. So yeah, I actually managed to pre-order this edition at the other branch of the store. If curious, it's called DataBlitz. The last branch mistaken me for the collector's pack lol.

No other words to say, I solved my problem :D Do use this thread to help those other guys with the confusion though :gtpflag:

P.S. Add me for some GT5 and GT6 racing lol
