My Toyota 4runner does that down hills too. It's a clutch so the car is being slowed by the engine itself. Though, I wouldn't recommend doing that.

Pull the e-brake until the car is out of gear, you'll start barreling down Côte d'Azur. ;]

A 458 just hit a wall at Sebring, then drove straight back into the middle of a high speed corner taking out a Porsche and narrowly missing an Aston.
