I really would love to see 'She Sells Sanctuary' by The Cult. That is one of my favorite songs, and it is also in GT3. I could never lose a race with that song playing.

We should really avoid folk songs from a specific country. Other than that, I have no reservations; just, please, nothing like the Alabama/New Orleans type of music. (I can't even stand it...)

What folk songs (or kind of) have you listened to and would you be against New Orleans-style jazz and blues? I can only imagine country folk with a southern flavor being unbearable, as folk jazz is pretty catchy.

Speaking of jazz, I wouldn't mind music from Hirmoi Uehara being featured in GT6.

All I want is the ability to play your own custom, pre-installed music and/or playlists saved to the system, or maybe even iPod connectivity. And the ability (that already somewhat exists) to chose which songs/playlists play at which parts of the game. Then I'll be happy. I don't really mind what PD uses, since I already use my custom playlists with Meshuggah, Korn, SOAD, Disturbed, Breaking Benjamin, Avenged Sevenfold, Ministry, Three Days Grace, Filter, Nirvana, Led Zeppelin, Rise Against, Linkin Park, and Rob Zombie.

I would love PD even more if that was in the GT6 soundtrack, especially if it was Pogo, Digitalism in Cairo, or Stratosphere. I also liked that GT5 had Sub Focus, maybe more of that?

I would say bring back classic tracks by Garbage and Feeder from 1 and 2 as well as the one by Papa Roach (Never Enough - I became addicted to this song 10 years ago playing in Free Run in Arcade Mode) from 3, but include:

The Distance - both Cake and Relient K versions
Flirtin' With Disaster - Molly Hatchet
We Went For a Ride - FeFe Dobson
Freebird - Lynyrd Skynyrd
Panic - Sublime with Rome
Careful - Paramore
Where I Belong - Motion City Soundtrack (contains one instance of swearing - but like with most games in the series, they'll likely bleep/edit it out)

TOTALLY YES! (if it was for NTSC/EU version) The music kept you always in good mood.
GT5's is a horrible mistake, until i turned it off i've always wanted to sleep when some screen was loading

For race music i want some pop-rock or rock, house, ambient maybe. Longer tracks or maybe mixes for endurance races.

And please God, no Dub-wubly wub-step.

I think there should be a wide variety of music genres aside from the custom music libraries. And with this wide variety, have certain genres set to certain race modes. But then allow these settings to be changed to whatever genres you want on whatever race type you want. Here's my ideas:

Now, I like Dubstep and all, but I really don't feel like it's a very good genre to listen to when driving, it feels like theres too much going on in the songs. BUT - In drifting, there's a lot going on there, so Dubstep would actually seem fitting. So Dubstep auto-set for drift events, but as I said, can be changed.

I'd say rock and metal would be better for more muscle and high-octane events, so higher PP, muscle, and NASCAR events would be more fitting for that in my opinion. Rally as well. I think it's a bit too much action in the songs to be driving around you're little daihatsu's on Autumn Ring.

Maybe some old school rock for classic car races, like Led Zeppelin. In fact, popular music of each decade would be cool to have.

For Super GT races and really just any racing car events I'd see best fit for electro-dance type music, but again, nothing too dub step-y. It'd be cool for endurance races if there was an "easter egg" of sorts where somewhat motivational songs like The Final Countdown were played in the final laps or minutes.

Now, for the lower and mid-PP ranges, I'd say just any general music that isn't really too much of one thing - rock, pop, dance, but not extreme in any way. Like Rise Against, it isn't too heavy but it can get you in the mood for driving.

Now, remember, these are just MY opinions, I'm not trying to insult anyone's music tastes here.
