Allow me to call shenanigans on the OP then.
I don't think you can denounce one rumour/"leak" with another. I've honestly not seen anywhere credible pegging PS4 release as the second half of 2014 and even so, it's still a rumour.
Allow me to call shenanigans on the OP then.
But with GT's history, right now, not even Kaz will know when GT6 is coming out, so I'm certainly not going to believe some random internet bloke who just joined up today.
Maybe we'll see some sort of GT6HD for PS4 if development isn't complete, yet.
Well no neither am I but I don't think March 2014 is too far-fetched. It's nearly three and a half years after GT5 and hopefully that was a one off taking longer than that.
Well i could get a pic of him in the PD offices, but that would be a one way ticket to unemployment wouldnt it?
I chose to reveal this info coz i know you guys wanna know whats happening, i know either way so negative attitudes may just stop the flow of info OK.
Rude, not necessary IMO, and will drive away anyone with info from posting unless it comes from gran-turismo.com or another official source.
While i will not divulge my sources, you will have to trust me when i say i have contacts within SCE and may shed some light on the situation with the next installment- Gran Turismo 6.
Why should you believe me? Everything I reveal will be proven correct over the new year, as my sources are concrete and in regular contact with the PD offices for primarily marketing reasons.
I have three revelations that i feel i can reveal without making my "mole" too obvious to those at sony. They are cryptic but those of you with brains will understand them....
1. GT6 is not a PS3 game- it was developed for the next playstation (reveal at E3, launching 2014) from the beginning.
2. The Top gear license and premium cars will not be returning. Mainly due to worries over the gap between PS4 and PS2 quality cars.
3. The game builds upon the GT5 engine and has given them a huge development headstart that allows me to be confident that the launch window for GT6 is March 2014 in Japan.
Well done, as this is all public knowledge spiced up with some simple exploration towards GT.
1: Sony ceased production of the PS2 - presumably indicating a PS4 announcement later this year.
2: It was already rumoured for GT5 that due to the delays of the GT5 launch, the TG was near its end anyway. Forza anyone?
3: That's what Kaz said since ages: GT5 main goal was to build an engine which they would use in future.
Just try to be a bit more original next time, I'm not even mildly entertained.
Wow. I've never written anything like this before but I can't believe a moderator just wrote that if you were aiming it at the OP. Rude, not necessary IMO, and will drive away anyone with info from posting unless it comes from gran-turismo.com or another official source. If not
Oh ok, I was wondering why Pupik said something about raising post count, didn't know what he meant at first. He's a brand new member taking a bunch of common knowledge rumors (many of which amar has directly alluded to before anyway) and saying that they are the God's honest truth with no backing; then topping it off with how we don't have to believe him and he won't prove it, but that would be our fault for not doing it and we'll look pretty foolish indeed a year from now when he's long gone and he turned out right. And on top of that, if we question him then he'll step delivering his news.
The OP is basically just white noise.

My point was he didn't do anything to deserve a response like that. By the reply you would think he made wild claims and insulted members in the process, which he obviously didn't.

A mid 2014 launch? Didnt GT5 get some teaser trailers like the year before it was announced? I believe basically everything else the OP says but the 2014 launch for GT6 in the middle of the year is quite debatable.
This one is probably the most disappointing, to me at least.1. GT6 is not a PS3 game- it was developed for the next playstation (reveal at E3, launching 2014) from the beginning.
Alas, that is all I can say for now, until 3 reveals all.

I know, I know a LOT of you guys really hope this is true, but I don't know why the PS3 could not have coped.
I remember reading, (fairly recently) that by Sony's own words, NO game currently available is pushing the PS3 to it's limits????
Does this include GT5?
If GT is a launch title I fear for it tbh.
GT and deadlines don't go together well.
GT needs an open timescale for PD to get what they want in the game. Not decisions on what wont make it in on time.
I can see perfectly well what a launch title means towards the success of PS4. So there is some cause for concern because it is quite possible they have to meet the deadline. Not a good scenario.

True, all very valid points. You know when your GT5 disc freezes? Yeah, GT5 really is something pretty awesome. Of course, Sony would never own up to that... They've got consoles to sell. Saying that gives the consumer a bit of "trust" and "courage" upon buying it. In fact, I think most games run a high-usage CPU program thingy. Yeah, again with my vocabulary. Point remains: I think at least GT5, Battlefield 3, and some of the other "big" games with big maps etc., really take a chunk out of that "supercomputer's" ability.
My friend's GT5 disc is barely (or not) scratched. But, his old generation PS3 can barely keep up.
Oh, ok. 👍That's not entirely true, I remember reading somewhere that the latest uncharted had the PS3 running at 99%.
I'll try to find a source.
Oh, ok. 👍
Yeah, as mentioned above, I guess we should not take everything as truth regarding what "Sony" say their system can handle.
