I read somewhere that Play Station Plus members get one extra car, a 15th Anniversary designed Nissan GT-R Nismo GT3 N24 which is the car from the GT Academy demo. I can't look for the site where I read it at the moment due to my piece of 🤬 phone. I'll look for it once I get home.

Addition:
I believe three blue suits also.

That was for the digital download I think, and it doesn't cover the US yet, either.

really though, it takes the majority of the fun out of the game when you start with a bunch of powerful cars and a million in the bank.

For years I sorta agreed, but the Grind in GT5 kinda made me change my stance on that. Obviously not sure about GT6 but if its a repeat, then those 25 15th anniversary cars will come in handy.

Thanks for the info. I've read that link back to front over the past few months and get that part, my beef is that when I actually go to the store, there are 3 in my local area (within 5km), they don't have ANY info despite me showing them their own site on my phone . They've never been reliable for me, at least I can count on people here .

Thanks again.

You're welcome. đź‘Ť I was left confused, too.

Same thing at the one in Kingston, the Sony rep was there and he knew nothing other then RE stands for Regular Edition. I just preordered the LE since it was the same price. on there site it says you get the 20 car pack for free if you preorder so that's likely it.

As a 'card-carrying' member of EBGames, I was totally puzzled by the fact that the clerks didn't know anything about what's happening. I know these guys fairly well - they are hard-core gamers - and whenever I drop in to browse, or buy I chat them up for any news, or to discuss some game - but these guys become glaze-eyed zombies as soon as one mentions Gran Turismo.
One guy even told me - "Oh! I don't play GT - it's too realistic for me," and then rattled off a bunch of other racing games he plays. I felt like a leper. The guys couldn't even locate the SKU in the POS system for some time.

I'm hoping there's not another bombshell on the way.

For the moment I ordered the LE - not so much because I wanted all the bells and whistles to start with, but because I'm a bit of a collector. When it comes to starting from scratch and working my way up, I am not averse to it - as I demonstrated by playing GT5 Version 1.00, untouched, as is, all the way to 2.14 before upgrading, but this lack of information, and even video-game sales people shaking their heads confused is making my little space booties fall off.

What's wrong with our EB associates, it's either they're hiding something, or they have no clue to what's going on. I as well, have a good relationship with my guys here and they don't don't know anything. Either they missed the mass memo or they're hoarding the LE's to sell them later at $69.99 - I sure hope not!

I'm a collector as well - some like to call it hoarding (whatever), I like a box/case that is presented well, well enough to put on display.

That was the impression I got, too - some undercurrent of something not quite right. We need a mole.

I was in there yesterday asking about a Buttkicker setup, to see if they had one for sale. They looked at me like I had three heads. I thought they were joking when they said they knew nothing about it, but it turns out they weren't:indiff:. The don't know anything about GT6 either btw, at least not at the one I go to:mad:.

Standard. Beginning with a bunch of cars and 1M credits kind of ruins half the experience of Gran turismo for me.

AFAIK you get a DLC code for the additional content. You can choose to install it later. This way you'll have the 'vanilla' experience when you start and still have all the additional content when the grinding has started.

I pre-ordered from Amazon for the North American market. Paid $59.96 plus shipping for a 12/6/13 availability date.
Amazon is a very reliable retailer, as I know from considerable experience with them. Their bonus is a handful of cars and extra game credits.

Edit: shipping date, December 11th.

Pre-Ordered the 15th Anniversary Edition as an automatic upgrade from my local Gamestop... Now if only I had the Internet Connection needed to download eveything (I usually either post from my phone or from a local Wi-Fi Cafe). :indiff:

I'm getting standard. Now I wonder if I'm forced to use the pre-order bonuses. I really don't want to. Starting with no help always was fun for me in GT.

You never were forced to use the pre-order bonuses so why would you be now? :odd:

Standard all the way. They did not give me a good enought reason with GT5 to want to pay for more. I almost bought the collectors addition last time but my first mind told me not to. I would have been very upset if I gave them more money than what they deserved.

Sometimes its not only about the game but what comes with it. GT5 came with a model car key chain and other goodies, good if you're a collector.

I've bought collectors editions of games I'm not big fans of. I got the Gears of War 3 box, it looked really cool so I got it. Played through it once but the box still stands on my shelf!

I have no people why say "I'm not gonna get the anniversary edition because I wanna do it the traditional way". Quite simple. Just don't use the cars that come with the anniversary edition and use only like 20,000 CR for your first car.

I'm a bit confused, really. o.o

Also: You don't have to activate your code right away.

Yeah I know. Its usually more or less what all you get. The price has to justify it though. I just now looked at what the Anniversary Edition comes with. Goes to show how much attention I have been paying, lol. At Gamestop it is considered an upgrade at a price of $60 is that correct. It would only make sense to go ahead and get Anniversary if the price is the same as the standard.

Count yourself lucky then, as everywhere else in the world people have to pay more for the extra Anniversary edition cars. You're getting them for free if you pre-order at Gamestop.

I will order the standard version. The content of the 15th anni version is of no interest to me.

I would pre-order it right now, but I can't find the information if the UK version is multilingual or not. I order all games from the UK, because I refuse to pay the absurd German prices. Usually I don't care about the language, but GT is the only game series that I really want to play with German texts.

I'm not certain, but it should be possible. I mean just think about all the different nationalities of people living in a certain region, not only the UK.

Standard. I don't want to start out with 1.000.000 credits. I already thought I got too much credits too fast in GT5 (although that was mainly because of the special events from what I remember).

I will pre-order, but I'm not even sure I will use the cars from the pre-order packs.

Anniversary edition.

But I'm really unsure if I should get the digital version or the disc, which is about 10$ more expensive.

I vote disk. It will be a mad house trying to download on day one more than likely. Everyone and their momma will be trying to download at the same time. Not to mention the day one patch along with dlc if indeed they do have some ready day one.

I have the Anniversary Edition pre-ordered from GameStop. (The Anniversary Edition is an automatic upgrade when you pre-order from GameStop)
