Definitely is the CH-R

So:

-Hyundai Ioniq 5 N 2024
-Toyota C-HR 2019
-Civic EF SiR 1989
-Gran Turismo F-3500 A

I know we're getting Ioniq N and Formula Car, my guess the other two is a Volvo and maybe an Alfa Romeo
These were my first guesses too :D

For a moment I was hoping that Alfa Romeo 147 is coming back from GT6... I didn't expect that someone would like to put Toyota CH-R into a game. But I underestimated Kaz once again 😅

As for Honda Civic, it fits Gran Turismo so no complaints here.

The CH-R was a flop in the real world but it was still an impressive sports crossover. I can see PD delivering justice to it.
As for the boxy car, I'm also inclined that it'll be a retro Civic hatch, but I think it will be the EF model.

So much of a flop that the second generation CH-R was not sold in Japan. That being said, the CH-R does have a N24 participation to its achievement list, which might be a potential GT Auto aero part set:

Could be. I was coin-tossing that one as, for me, they're indistinguishable at that angle, but I figured that Mugen Motul was such a fondly remembered car that it'd be fun to name it in the article.

Happy for getting the F3500 and the Honda AH. I wish it was the touring car with the Motul livery but if not, both the livery and the specs are no hard task to recreate.

The touringcar would be awesome to chuck into Gr.4, but I think it makes more sense as a base road model. More customizable freedom for the players imagination to run wild~

(The racecars are always so restrictive in customizing)

Can't wait for the F3500. Anyone find out if it's V10 or V12?
It should be one of the more fun cars to drive I'm guessing. Very light and powerful, yet naturally aspirated 😍.
I'm still holding out hope for another original track(s) from GT1 before this game is done! (Autumn or SSR5/11??)
Would really help complete GT7 before GT8 is teased someday in the future.

It was mentioned in the nations cup livestream that it's a V12.

According to the GTWS when it was revealed, it is a V12 and appears to be very similar to the 1992 Williams I think.

My best guesses for the car between the Ioniq and Civic

The wise guesses for new bonus book content would either be none or a Civic-based one similar to the Evo or Silvia races.

But I will give PD points for cheekiness if they did a Tall Toyotas set of races restricted to the Alphard, Himedic, Hiace and this thing!

What a terrible selection of cars. Whoever makes the decisions on what cars PD should add to the game, either hates actually good/interesting cars that fit into a racing game, or just hates to give the players what they want.
It’s been clear for a VERY long time PD are fulfilling obligations and marketing deals with their DLC selections.

They are well aware which cars are most wanted. We will get the occasional in-demand release. But the most wanted race cars are obviously being saved for GT8.

I 100% agree. The EF has a much slimmer front valance while the previous gen is more upright and tall around the headlights. That silhouette absolutely looks like an EF to me.

It would be nice to have in game, but also not a far cry from the Civics we already have as far as driving is concerned.

Really wish PD would blow us away with new cars, but every update seems to come with a couple "why that" cars. There are so many viable options out there, and it's hard to see how a CH-R of all things beats them out.

Oh well, always happy for an update, and excited to see what else comes with it. The I5N is going to be awesome (bu-bu-bu-bu electric), the F3500 should be good (hoping it has better steering weight than the other open wheeled cars do now), and although the Civic is going to be similar to the others, it's going to be great to drive and modify. The CH-R, or whatever else it may be, could be a fun one too, as long as its not a hybrid that we can barely tune like the prius/fit/aqua.

EDIT: just looked at the Wiki for the CH-R and the GR variant is basically just an appearance package with a CVT/Hybrid drivetrain... big meh.

This is the discussion thread for an article on GTPlanet:

Gran Turismo 7’s January 2025 Update is Coming Next Week

It’s been a quiet few weeks for news on the next game update for Gran Turismo 7, but we now have confirmation that it’ll be landing on consoles this coming week — most likely on Thursday 30th January...
Adding Suzuki Jimny and cars like that is just a joke, especially when there is no cars like 14' Mustang GT500.

Flop in the real world? It will be in your country, because in Spain it sold 18,000 units in 2023 and 18,000 more in 2024, being one of the best-selling cars.
