That was pointed out. It appears to be a Civic EF3 SiR. The bumper is extended and the bumper lights wrap around.

Edit: Just to add about the wheels mentioned in a few posts above, we’ve got Spoon wheels, I wouldn’t mind these Mugen wheels added to the game. From the Mugen website.

I want more than just those Spoon ones. The ones on the Mugen S2000 from GT3 would be my choice

My point is that cars like jimny or aqua or prius is just useless, when there are cars which is more enjoyable. I do not think anyone drives Prius in the GT7 for fun :D
Aqua and Prius became very important since VR2 as people can use it for first practice settings without becoming motion sick 🤮 🤣

P. S.
To avoid that some of us now start comparing the natural frequency of the Prius with those of organs in human bodys let me state: That was a joke 😉

Edit:Typo corrected

This is the update from which I will start putting content aside so I will have more to test later on.

Only the Civic catches my attention, even if it's an other Civic....

I do not like that Toyota C-HR '19 AT ALL! Yet, I see this car as an equivalent to the Toyota RSC '01 from GT4, made iconic because of its famous rally version which could be resold for a bunch of credits. I bet some will recreate Castrol tribute liveries very soon.
It's not a car for my taste, but in my opinion it clearly has its place in Gran Turismo if we draw this parallel.

Fingers crossed it's the GR Sport version 🤞

The F3500 is definitely the best part of the update because I've wanted to see an early 90s F1 car for some time. I actually think that the engine is based on the Honda V12 unit found in the McLaren MP4/6, which won the championship in '91.

I think it's a Renault V10 but I could be mistaken. There wasn't a lot of V12s then racing they had mostly moved to V10 for various weight and handling reasons?

Not really related to this update but does anyone know why the Ferrari line-up in GT7 lacks the 360 and F355? Does someone else hold an exclusive licence? Just seems to be a glaring omission that I hope is resolved each time there’s an update.

I’m super happy to see the new (old) F1 car. Formula cars really shine in VR.
What makes them particularly glaring omissions? There are many equally important cars not in the game.

I’m pretty sure it’s based on the MP4/7. The air box and the wings match the 92 car, plus it’s a V12 and the power figures match up as well. I could be wrong though.

I'm only talking about the engine, not the bodywork.

The car bodywise (Mostly) is based on the Williams FW14

Only Mclaren bits seen appears to be the Front Wing End plates.

As for the engine, Its a V12 as per the official site:

I'm hoping for more Chiron engine swaps to get some additions to my Chiron Touring Car Championship custom race

Probably the only one though

I am so tired of these pointless updates with useless cars (although I do look forward to the F-3500). We need new GT3/GT4, LMH/LMdH, new tracks like Imola, Singapore, etc. At this point, GT7 risks being relegated to obsolescence by the likes of ACE.
"Useless" and we're getting some 500-600pp range customizable toys to play with. I think these cars will end up being used more than the F1 car in the long run tbh

Judging by continued sales and play time despite these "Pointless Updates", that's quite abit of over Exaggeration over a game not having the latest cars you want. As continually demonstrated with vehicles like the HiAce and Jimny, seems people actually like those "Useless cars".

Thay are back

Ehhhh, not quite. Its a Williams based car for sure but whereas that was based on the FW16, the car we'll be getting is more based on the FW14 (The Rear Wing is the dead giveaway)

If that C-HR is AWD version, G16E-GTS would make it interesting if we get transmission with gears, and not CVT.

Really hope for some other updates other than cars, like more new interesting wheels, those "steelies" from Rotiform we recived were great addition.

I hope the good ol' Civic will have an engine swap to start with. I really hope the two Gran Turismo branded F1's will have an event for 'em at some point but since we have Super Formula I have no idea.

I couldn't be happier about the 90's F1

But fingers crossed they add official Thrustmaster T598 support or at least tweak the FFB. So far it feels amazing and a big step up over the T300 but I do wish it just had more smaller vibrations and more detailed tire and road feedback. T300 had even less but I still think there could be more.

Also I don't know how anyone can say this is the worst update or am I the minority of thinking having an open wheel car instantly makes an update great?

I'm expecting it to be well north of that, considering the post-launch (and real-world) McLaren MP4/4 debuted at 8,000,000 Cr. and currently sits at 12,000,000 Cr. In fact, I'm expecting it to beat the highest-priced Brand Central car, the (post-launch) Aston Martin Valkyrie and its 4,000,000-Cr. price.

I’m fairly sure it won’t be. The MP4/4 is that expensive because it’s a real replica from the LCD, so you can’t compare them with regular car dealership cars. The F3500-A is a generic version of a formula 1 car, just like the F1500T-A is, which also sits at Cr.1.000.000.

If it’s not at the same price, I expect a max of maybe 500k difference… I could of course be (very) wrong though, with PD you never really know for sure…

I've elected to ignore any praises or criticisms over car choices unless its about clones. It's a subjective standpoint people are amplifying to be objective when it isn't.

Everyone wants something different and you can't please everyone with 4 cars especially if you want try and branch out to stuff like SUVs. Honestly, none of the cars here I'll use. Maybe the 90s F1 but doubtful, but I'm not gonna get upset because the Opel Speedster isn't being included and PD made bad choices because the choices didn't benefit me.

Engine selling
That would be great, my shelves are bending under the load. (and no, I did not benfit from that engine bonanza time, was not playing at that time).
Looks like a pretty bad update.
Looks pretty usual to me. If you feel that it was better 1, 2 or 3 years ago, the issue may be your memories and some kind of rosy retrospection, when game was fresh and new.
kjb
That said there may not be a new track
Most probably not. Hopefully we'll get one or 2 before GT8.
We need new GT3/GT4, LMH/LMdH, new tracks like Imola, Singapore, etc.
Who's "We" ? Other people want more classic cars, others wants more JDM, others DTM...

Well given the state of ACE, there a good margin before anything of the sort happens. And still, ACE is not on PS5 (yet) so PD/GT7 are serene now (a bit more pressure would be good for players, but at the moment, there is few pressure).
Not expecting new tracks after a year of none is an odd choice.
Expecting infos on new track from a silhouette of cars is weird. That was the point of @RACECAR, don't move the goalpost.

New cars aside for a moment but I would love to see active aero applied to the most recent Porsche addition. It's disappointing the front and rear elements don't move - watching the various spoilers and air brakes operate really gives me the fizz during those glorious GT replays.

I mean that's what Gran Turismo is all about - the replay and admiring cars 😍
