Gran Turismo 7’s January 2025 Update is Coming Next Week

My issue is I shouldn’t have to tweak the cars because they drive perfectly fine in time trials.
All my cars have all upgrades, wide bodies (where possible), large custom spoilers (where possible), and low aero for top speed.
Some of the vehicles listed are also engine swapped.
Even if the tweaking has minimal effect on performance, my issue is it’s not the maximum possible which the game thinks is undrivable when that’s not the case for any of these cars.
Ok.calm down.

And the feature of being able to turn a street car into a race car in the garage should’ve stayed in the game and improved upon.

Titles like iRacing are ongoing service models with paid DLC content. PD need to be mindful they need dozens of new cars and a healthy amount of new tracks ready for GT8. In addition to any new events & features. One of which could be race modification which will need lots of work.
RM isn't needed anymore and is a waste of resources since we can create our own RMs for just about any car using a combination of the roll cage, tow hooks, and livery editor. RM was PD's way of more extreme versions of a car way back when customization in the series was more limited.

I would agree with the notion that we could use more tuning part options going forward, such as maybe being able to replace the seats and steering wheel with racing versions, but all-in-all RM itself is unneeded.

That CANNOT be a C-HR. If it is....you've got to be KIDDING ME

It’s a bit odd, yeah, however you could just ignore it. The other cars are cool. I imagine they add Toyotas like they do because of contracting. It’s no big deal

People keep saying the C-HR is a failure, yet they had sold over 1.75m of them through 2023, and that year was their highest year of sales in Europe. Yes, sales fell off in Japan and the US, but I hardly think it can be called a failure, just because it didn't work as long in those markets.

I had a hybrid version as a rental last year, and I thought it drove pretty nicely. No rocket, but I had my partner and toddler with me, so I wasn't going to be driving fast anyway  I'm looking forward to seeing what modifications it has available, and trying to make something race-worthy of it.

I'm not in a good enough money situation to be serious about it, tbf 😔
I was about to say "get one from Italy, here they super unpopular and probably go for potato money" then I looked up Autoscout. Crazy rare and crazy priced, found only a 2.2 diesel for 40k and a 2.2 petrol for 27k. What the hell is going on in the world?

I‘m really a big fan of Crossovers and to be honest I was disappointed when I read that it (probably) is the C-HR, I personally could imagine literally 100s of cars that I would rather see in the game. However, this is a) my personal taste, and b) I think it is on the other hand needed that cars like this get added, everyday cars that don’t have a big fanbase initially but maybe can turn out to be very fun and have some tuning potential. That’s how these iconic cars for the series became iconic in the older GT titles, not a lot of people had them on their radar, but I think this is a important part that made this series standout so much. So from this perspective I think it’s a good thing they add more recent „ordinary“ cars besides the GT icons from previous titles, this keeps the franchise alive.

You know, sometimes life is a little weird. A few years ago I rented a car for a day, and that day turned out to be very memorable. The car I was given was a Toyota C-HR, so the car has become part of that memory for me. Thus I don't care how successful it was commercially or how many people hate it. I am happy I'll be getting it in the game, because it will forever remind me of that day.

Hopefully this is fixed with this update because this is unacceptable.View attachment 1423675
All of these cars (and a few more) drive perfectly fine in time trials and the AI in custom races have no issues driving them, but I can’t use them in events or custom races because of a coding error that labels these cars unable to drive unless I heavily de-tune them, add ballast, or equip worse grade tires, when they absolutely can function as they are without issues.
The only car that really deserves that label that I’ve encountered is the engine swapped Abarth 595 with no ballast.
Those cars are unacceptable lmao

Why bother writing a smart-arse essay like that because someone posted one sentence that doesn’t float your boat? The confrontational mindset of some of you is honestly disproportionate to the random negativity. If you want something like that to stop, ignore it instead of giving it attention. Phrases like “is your life so devoid…” just scream keyboard warrior ranting, dragging the discussion down to an even lower level.
Says one of the resident negativity wielding wet-blankets. Haha.

Why bother writing anything on a forum? Bear in mind, I'm responding to the negativity, not initiating it, and I have every right to condemn people who's sole mission is to come in here and trash talk a game they clearly either A. Dont like, or B. secretly love.

Take your own advice. You don't like? You move on.

I honestly think there are several heavier vehicles - namely two sporty pickup trucks and a variety of SUVs/cross-overs - that I think would be very neat to see, especially if there was a way to see them all race against each other in Sport Mode. The former group could definitely use the Chevrolet Silverado ZR2 and Dodge RAM Rebel, while the latter group has so many fascinating options from all over. Heck, speaking of American models, I think even adding the Mustang Mach-E would be fine by me, seeing how it's very symbolic of the recent trends in the broader auto industry.

You missed the point entirely.

I'd like to see a pickup truck with a regular cab, as nature intended.

We also need Honda Hrv RS ;)

They should fire everyone at polyphony at start over. The updates, the car selection and lack of tracks. Time to clean house in my opinion.or maybe an another game company will actually listen to the players and capitalize on Gran Turismo and polyphony’s short comings and deaf ear policies. Give us more real tracks, real race cars, real sports cars. Not a pointless van or an EV no one cares about. Maybe it time to shelve it, get a system and invest in Iracing.
Florida man, Florida man. Thinks he's a rocket man.

If you truly are with NASA, you will know that one program cannot run all of the rocket. Likewise, Gran Turismo is not for everyone. Therefore, please enjoy are IRacing.

I am so used to the double cabs running around that this looks wrong...
Same here. You'd think regular Cabs didn't exist in my neck of the woods with how much more common Super cabs or Twin cabs are.

I see your educated guess and raise you an Alfa Romeo Brera because I'm crazy and the bonnet/headlight combo can be nothing else to my eyes.

It is similar but there are differences too. The diagonal lines on the hood do not rejoin the corners of the windshield on the silhouette, and the white part on the front of this diagonal "panel" would get larger if it was the Afla, instead of finishing on a single point

Ok I see it now! I was convinced it was an Alfa of some type as well but this has changed my mind!!

I'm curious whether the F-3500A will ve a V10 or a V12. I know it was said that it will be a V12, but it was stated here that it sounded more like a V10 at the World Finals and that it may be modeled after the 1991 Williams FW14, which had a V10. I don't mind either engine, and since it is not a licensed F1 car, maybe it's a car "inspired by" the cars of the time period and therefore doesn't recreate specs and looks of one particular model.
