I hope it's the 147.
Now which generation and model I'm not sure. Q2/TI (2ng gen restyling)? GTA V6 (first gen)? I hope the latter, but the cut near the inside of the headlight and the mean look of the outside suggests it's the 2nd gen, like mine.
Can't be the Alfa GT Q2 because the roof continues at the back, like a hatchback.

And I REALLY hope it's NOT the C-HR (GR Sport? Why?)
At first I didn't think about it, but since I have a C-HR 1.8 sitting in my garage...yep, I'm afraid by the shape it could also be it.
Again, why????

  • Hyundai Ioniq: ev👎
  • F3500-a: the one i'm most excited for
  • civic ef: if its the road version, its of little use to me.
If its the mugen motul civic: very cool👍.
If its road version but comes with engine swap option, i'll stamp a mugen motul civic livery on it 👍.
- the car said to be the toyota c-hr: I pray its a racing version. Otherwise👎.

I hope there is a tough race this update. Specially because in gtsport, with the introduction of the f1500, we got a challenging race in brands hatch that I enjoyed very much. I hope they do something similar now.
Indeed

I loved the 80's japanese compact cars in GT4 but there's just nowhere for me to get satisfying racing with a 100HP road car in GT7. Offline racing sucks, you can't do online league racing with tuned cars because there's no way to lock tunes.

Hopefully this is fixed with this update because this is unacceptable.View attachment 1423675
All of these cars (and a few more) drive perfectly fine in time trials and the AI in custom races have no issues driving them, but I can’t use them in events or custom races because of a coding error that labels these cars unable to drive unless I heavily de-tune them, add ballast, or equip worse grade tires, when they absolutely can function as they are without issues.
The only car that really deserves that label that I’ve encountered is the engine swapped Abarth 595 with no ballast.
I'm a bit late to the party on this particular comment, but the majority of these cars can be fixed by maxing the rear downforce, and they'll drive better as a result. Meanwhle the american cars can be improved by adding rear ballast, and believe it or not they'll be faster overall thanks to improved rear traction.

It doesn't the error triangle acceptable, but it is a useable workaround in the meantime.

Really hoping the ionic n has the simulated semi auto gearbox implemented as it's great fun and would make driving that EV way more interesting to me. Considering in real life you have have it in normal EV mode or semi auto gearbox with paddles then it would fit with the games auto and manual gearbox modes. Fingers crossed

I approve.

Just an example: The ballast method made my 595 Abarth EsseEsse '70 drivable with RM (Front) and RS (Rear) tires even at 340'ish HP. I set it in the front and now I have a sweet 250-300 Km/h ride when I equip it with nitrous. As for the upgrades and settings, I went with no weight reduction and max ballast at 30-35% front with some super stiff natural frequency. I was agreably surprised to see the car not even lifting when under heavy acceleration with power restrictions. Full power though it will lift on a constant basis if I use nitrous with my settings.

Went for lowest ride possible, stiffest rollbars, max damping on both damping settings, Maximum Natural Frequency both sides, no camber front, 2.5 camber on rear, Toe at -0.30 for the front and -0.85 on the rear.

Turns the li'l sweetie into a real race car!

People who call this "worst update ever" really have short memory, huh? And it's not like it is due to the long wait, since these two also came after long breaks (Christmas 2023 and summer 2022)...

I will forever defend September 2022 as not terrible - the ID.R is a really cool, unique car that GT7 just does really dirty with its event list, and any game trying to do '90s JDM justice is going to have both versions of the S14.

January 2024, though... yeah, I've got nothing there.

Nobody, not one being alive in this universe, asked for PD to take 9+ months making this.
Quite the bold claim, can you prove that or is this yet again an overexaggeration over a car you don't like?

Also: Your reaction to the Pic I posted humors me. Can't stand the idea that someone actually raced this?

However, this is a) my personal taste, and b) I think it is on the other hand needed that cars like this get added, everyday cars that don’t have a big fanbase initially but maybe can turn out to be very fun and have some tuning potential. That’s how these iconic cars for the series became iconic in the older GT titles, not a lot of people had them on their radar, but I think this is a important part that made this series standout so much. So from this perspective I think it’s a good thing they add more recent „ordinary“ cars besides the GT icons from previous titles, this keeps the franchise alive.
I know quite a few people that didn't care much for the Urus getting added initially but gradually fell in love with it after realising its sheer in-game potential. So yeah, this checks out.

I’m one of them. I still think it’s boring to look at.

In my head there was an excited Italian in the room saying how the wings should look like flames and then a German said “Sit down Giancarlo, vee don’t vant it to look silly now!”

After testing out your suggestions, I can say with absolute certainty that they did make the triangles go away, but they did not improve performance.
Maxing the rear aero slowed acceleration and made the cars unstable when cornering.
For my USA cars, the rear ballast only gave the illusion of improved traction as the extra weight slowed the cars down considerably. 2-4 seconds slower on average per lap. Not to mention the detrimental effects on tire wear and fuel mileage.

I appreciated the advice but after testing, those methods just don’t work for me.

It's weird that "the worst update ever" discussion isn't including the one that nerfed the high-paying races on purpose and totally broke the game accidentally (1.07), the one that broke a whole bunch of cars with the new physics (1.49), or the one that only gave you access to two cars (which were cool ones) but told you it gave you four (1.36):

But waa-waa-waa I didn't like any of the three/four/five cars in a specific update, I guess. 🤷‍♀️

Oh, fun fact, this update makes it 99 new cars added.

Are you suggesting that cars bouncing all over the place and shooting off into space wasn't broken?

There are no patch notes yet, as the update hasn't released yet
Cool beans. I'm a returning player after a long absence and I couldn't believe how bad the game felt when I fired my wheel up tbh.

Do you know what happened? Did PP release a patch along the way that broke everything? It definitely didn't feel like that from what I remembered from the last time I played.

Yup..

….in July…and here we are.

Right, I was absolutely stunned at how bad the game felt when I fired it up. Completely wooden and numb.
It's an awful shame because it looks fantastic and has some brilliant cars.
If it ever gets fixed the game will be almost perfect imho.

The bvlgari vgt is an amazing grind car for tokyo
I agree with you and I was genuinely hyped for the car when it came out... only to find we had to wait one more month before unlocking it because we didn't splash cash (5k $) on a watch. That's why I consider it a horrible update, just a 2 car update (since they actually mentioned the Bvlgari to be available "now" in the release notes for february update!) with a car with little use (unless you had just started the career, nevertheless, GT7 is not about building up vehicles as much as GT5 was) and a very nice looking VGT with brakes that make you stop in about a mile

or the one that only gave you access to two cars (which were cool ones) but told you it gave you four (1.36)
oh no, @Famine I had managed to remove from my mind that horror of a choice, why did you have to remember it to me?!

The 1.07 update, was this the update that was followed by a `letter`from Kaz? Saying he didnt want the players playing the same high paying races over and over, amongst other things.....
Hard to believe it was really that long ago.

You can tune your wheel and bit to improve things as the physics patch of July did have some good things..although they took most of that out(braking feedback) leaving the bouncy bouncy and oscillations of doom ..for i dunno. Funsies.

If your Fanatec, Sony/PD has ignored their new sdk for going on a year now. So im sure thats helping lots.

Presently they have us by the short hairs. If your a vr convert who isn’t going to race without vr its still the only game in town. And they know it. At least until ac evo hits console which appears to be more gran turismo, than grant turismo..
