As for a Racing Car liveries. Should be noted that some Super GT Race Cars from the same manufacturer act differently to others (The Motul GT-R and Woodone GT-R are great examples of this).

Honestly I would be disappointed with this. A lot of great cars will get punted off and we would be completely restricted in certain Classes. There would be only 2 Group C cars (Mazda 787B and Jaguar XJR-9) and the only LMP1s are the Audis, Peugeots, Nissan and Toyota. Nearly every LM Race Car / Super Touring Car will be vanished making the Dream Car Championship lose every meaning it has left (if including Real Race Cars wasn't killing it already).

While I would be upset about my favourite car (Opel Speedster) being punted. I remember that GT6 pretty much 🤬 it so it is now unplayable, so I wouldn't care if it got punted in GT7 because it would likely still be broken.

That's why I'm hoping that there is a reasonable mix of brand new cars and cherry picked standard to premium upgrades.

Then they should premiumize all iconic Standard cars, The Sauber C9 and Bentley EXP is already Premium in GT6.
That's one possible solution. Out of 640 Standard and 150 Semi-Premium cars, I think about 200 deserve to live on, either remodelled as Premium, or Standard but as a downloadable option in GT7 until PDI can get around to remodelling them.

The Standard cars are a little disappointing but assuming they all respond correctly I'd rather have them in there for the added variety. There are a lot of cars in there that I loved as a kid and I'd be sad to see them gone, plus it reduces the chances of being able to find your own car in the selection which is always a nice touch that you don't get so much in other games. If anything I'd like them to add more clone type cars to better cover the range of cars each manufacturer sells so that you could actually find your car, or your dad's/mum's car. It adds a nice personal touch that other games don't offer.
