Capturing data yourself at a track is surely more a preference and luxury rather than a requirement.

Laser scans can be carried out by contracted companies and many tracks surely these days already have the data ready to sell to whoever wants it. Then for reference images of the scenery you can either use any one of thousands of images and video that already exist or again contract someone locally at the track to do it for you.

For that reason I can't see covid having as much an impact on real tracks, they just might be slightly less detailed in the environment or slightly out of date.

Maybe Chevy wanted PD to wait...:sly:

I'm curious about a new inclusion of it.Rome has always been interesting also as an official track for Formula E and Gran Turismo Series.
The Several tight curves and the mixed were its strengths,
We haven't talked about it anymore but ten years ago it was rumored to be an F1 GP in 2010. I like how mentioned....in my opinion it is one of the most requested and interesting tracks that GT could aspire to.
And all a surprise if there was a return of him including also for that of Formula E as an interesting exclusive.
here are two preachings:

Rome From GT2-Formula E Rome Gran Prix EUR.

One of all time favorite tracks of GT!!!!! Must include

Probably the people voting for it in the Suggestions forum - but how is this a prediction?

Where is the GT7 Car and Track wishlist?? I've spent about an hour looking for it. I know of the other wishlists (roleplay features, all new cars, general wishlist sans cars/tracks).

I've been wanting to say this again but weight be getting new cars and Most cars from Gran Turismo 6 (Probably the Premiums and most standard cars {as some have converted to Premium during Gran Turismo Sport}) and Gran Turismo Sport combined. Some of the cars in Gran Turismo 6 are underrated.

The Suggestions forums fill that function.

With GT7 featuring a used car dealership again, I imagine they'll need to up the number of older cars significantly. While classic cars from the 70s and earlier can sometimes be found as used cars in previous games, the bulk of the dealership has consisted of slightly outdated generations and varying trim levels of common cars.

GT Sport for example has only two Civics, a '15 and a '98. I think it's fair to predict many more models, from the 80s to the 2000s, and I'm sure if they could include at least one model from each generation, they would. Will they include variations like sedan vs hatchback, as in GT2? Probably not many. Or for the NSX, will they include the base model, the Type S, Type S Zero, and Type R? Maybe one of each, but I doubt there would be, for example, three different years of Type S, as were in GT4.

Previous games have had their used car lots overwhelmingly favor Japanese cars, moreso than the new car dealers. I predict this will change somewhat as there seems to be more emphasis on including historically significant American and European cars lately, but I'm sure the majority will still be Japanese.

Still, when considering possible American used cars, what could we expect? Previous games included mainly classic muscle cars, and the more benign family and economy cars were mostly new models, i.e. the Focus or Neon. I'm not sure if I expect this to change much, but certainly there are many cars from the 2000s which were new in previous titles, which would easily fit in GT7s used car lot now. Mainstays like the Mustang deserve several more generations of representation, but it's hard to guess if they will receive it.

All in all, PD will likely prioritize the most significant models in history, which may mean the used car dealers feel more like auto museums or private collections. Some less impressive cars would give more flavor, but is that a good use of resources? I guess we'll see what PD thinks.

A few years ago PDI worked closely with Porsche,
the results of having them have some on gt sport and it was very positive maybe we will see other porsche and european cars,Lotus are a good example. But who knows what their intentions to approach are for Fiat and Alfa Romeo.
Giulietta, Giulia, Vision GT Montreal, 155-156 and 80s icons,
excellent numbers I also mention Autobianchi or Bizzarini among them.
Currently, the number of cars of gt5-gt6 are a very good starting point.

Whatever happened to this car? I still can't believe one of the most Gran Turismo-like cars is not currently on the series. Makes it even worse when you realize it's on the Forza series.

So here goes a "nervous prediction". Along with the Castrol Tom's Supra, it would be crazy to see it not featured on GT7.

With the premise of "Past, present, and future" I see this car being added, perhaps the competition tab at the tuning shop is there so you can upgrade your GTR 33?

After 3 years, I'm just now collecting all the GR.3/GR.B Road Cars.

It's a weird thing in GTS, that we didn't get the RMs and LMs from past games. As mentioned above about the R33 LM. In GTS, we have cars like Honda Type-Rs, but not their RM counterparts - in the case of the S2000, it's LM variant.
PD saw fit to choose only seven car models and give us these Road Car variants. Why not all the GR.3/GR.B Road Car variants of each model in the game?

In the Racing Modifications thread, it's possible, that tuning option may return. It's also possible, full Racing Modified models may be included without having to buy the RM separately.

TCs were also interesting as a counterpart on GT5-GT6 they stood out the real flaw was the absence of non-homogeneous trophy cars or rally.Past present and future I think also applies to inclusion of cars that were never released after GT2, but which were standard on GT5.In my opinion other groups will be included for hybrid or electric cars It's not easy but PDI just needs to give more news on what it wants to achieve with the fans.
It's fun to find what we want,
the waits are long but the more a title comes out later the more complete you find it.
they will surely amaze us as they did with the previous titles, even if I expected more similarities from them
and certain interactions with the cars.

So many cars are coming out between now and 2022. Maserati GranTurismo EV, Ferrari Dino hybrid, new Porsches.

PD have lots of catching up to do, as we've missed most new cars from 2016-2020. With the exception of the five "new" Toyotas(includes the GR86) we'll have so far, only the Taycan and ZL1 join the list of cars newer than 2017(GTS debut).

i20N, Fiesta ST 5-door & 3-door, Polo GTI
Wait, why both the 5-door and 3-door?

I mean, I know Polyphony Digital can be really redundant with their car additions, but they have rarely done this with international cars. The only examples I can think of were the 2 Ford Focus models in GT2 and the 2 Renault Clio variations in GT Sport.

Exactly for that international reason. The 3-door in the pic, is a Euro-UK spec Limited edition, with a racier suspension tune. I think we also got the Focus RS and ST in GT5(?).
Also, maybe the two SN95 Mustang GTs in GT2 as well. One was the rounded nose and the other the facelift squared-off model(I think).

I saw this car in-person at the 2019 New York International Auto Show, where they also had the GT-R50 by Italdesign and both 50th anniversary versions of the GT-R and the Z.

On a more relevant note, I fully expect PD's more notable relationships with Toyota, Mazda, and Porsche to get expanded upon. For one thing, I could definitely see the first-generation Toyota Mirai being added, as well as eventually including all four generations of the Mazda Roadster. As for Porsche, I really want to see the 914, 918, and 959, personally, though I think we're already going to see some impressive additions, considering that in the very little GT7 footage we have, we can already see the 917, Carrera GT, and an incarnation of the 911 GT1 Road Car.

EDIT: And I know that PD doesn't seem as close to Nissan as they used to, but I'd still really like the production-spec GT-R50, as well as premium versions of the KPGC10 and C110.

I woluld like to make a question to Kazunori. "Why did you never include the wintage tracks in GT sport"? How you can delete tracks like Deep forest, Motegi and Trial Mountain?

This isn't the right thread for that, but also he already answered it in 2017:

And of course Trial Mountain is coming back in GT7.

Motegi is a real-world track, so its absence could well be down to licensing.
