I also seem to predict the Lamborghini VGT will have a Gr. 1 version, as it would be really absurd not to have that, given its prototype-like styling. I think it was even seen on the PS Showcase trailer when it was racing against the McLaren VGT in the Nurburgring.

4. TS010 (Personally, I think this would be a better Group C model than the 88C-V.)

I'd include a GT300-spec Prius in the second list, but I think it's already confirmed that PD was scanning one, albeit not necessarily the one based on the Prius Prime, which I find notably sexier.

I've excluded models that were premiums in the PS3 era from both these lists, for what it's worth, though I hope most of the premium models from the PS3 era return, with only a few exceptions that I think we could do without.

This is GT series only and not including different branded cars (for example Rosso Rubino is available for Brera too). Cars not in GT7 from previous titles so far are bold, and the probably never featured so far unknown cars in GT series are italic. Maybe some of these unknown colors indicate new vehicles?

These are the predictions I made way back in December, besides Aqua, 300SL, 964 Carrera RS I predicted before. Actually surprised by number of 2016+ vehicles. I wonder if others are any better.

Looking at Trophy lists, there is Three Legendary Cars trophy which gets unlocked after acquiring three different 24h (I wonder if it includes only overall or any class) winners, so I made a checklist from GT series of all of them that arent in GT7, but also including F1 GTR '97. Premiums are bold, standards are italic, PS1 era are ordinary text. Since there is this trophy and probably many will complain about grinding, there is a small possibility that cheaper 24H winners could be added, but I still think that measures against too much grinding will appear more likely (new events, bigger rewards) and so on.

I looked at other achievements that are car and track connected, and see what content could be added based on them, in my opinion.

Formula First Timer – Drove a Formula car. I believe that some formulas are coming, but honestly I can't pinpoint anything specific.

Heavy Haulage – Bought a pickup truck. There is El Camino from GT6, that is in my opinion very likely since many Chevrolets returned or made debut. I would not be surprised if I see another modern Ford, Nissan, Toyota, RAM and so on pickup.

Let’s Go Carbon Neutral! – Bought an electric car. There are Nissan Leaf, Mitsubishi iMiEV and Tesla Roadster that could return most likely in my opinion. Also Nike ONE was brought back to relevance, maybe that or a new Nike VGT. Also obviously Model 3 is coming, and since EVs are increasing in numbers, there will be many debuts that are electric.

Living with a Legend – Bought a car at the Legend Cars dealership. Just like Formula First Timer, choices for updates available are very wide.

Safety First – Bought a safety car. One safety car hasn't returned is R34 which blocked 190E in GT4. There is also M4 M Performance which is obsoleted with newer GTS one. Since all available Safety Cars are fictional I can only say that any car that can have safety equipment and signalization put on can appear .

Speed reaching trophies for 200, 250 and 300 MPH, could mean more super, hyper, race and VGT cars. In GT series there are lots of cars that fit here, but I think new to series VGTs, returning cars like V12 LMR, XJ220, R390 etc. and new ones like Ferraris, Lamborghinis, McLarens even Bugattis would not surprise me.

Digging the Dirt – Won 10 races on dirt tracks. PD isnt forgetting rally content, they added 205 rally car. Are there snow tyres available on GT7? Whatever, besides Pikes Peak 'promise', I think that snow will return either in new Chamonix or Ishibashi (mentioned in GTS files). Out of dirt tracks there is Grand Canyon that is also mentioned in GTS files, tbh this is more likely than vaporware Pikes Peak.

Round and Round – Drove 500 miles (804.672km) on oval tracks. Since PD loves ovals, I think that, besides obvious Test Courses from GT1-4 that is replaced by SSRX, Motegi Super Speedway and Indianapolis are most likely to return. There is a wierd lack of mini loop like Beginner Course from GT4, also. Maybe Driving Park 2 and 3 or Test Mulligan are also ovals, from GTS files?

Rain Royalty – Acquired your rain license. Is there a rain license? could it be inspired by rally license in GT2 and 3? Or they will add licenses, which is surprising.

In my opinion, not much GT2 content has actually returned. GT1 is much more present and most of returns from PS1 era will probably be from GT1. My opinion of most likely cars to return, is based on popularity/requests I seen on internet and general track record of GTS updates and GT7 additions (similarities like 1995 and 97 Integra, road versions of race cars, classics, some out of field choices, also rumors or confirmation of actual scanning):

Alfa Romeo 156 (this is bit out of field but not impossible since they managed to add 155DTM and 8C from 30s, it would most likely return as GTA)

Yeah, we’ll probably get that Group A Calsonic Skyline, sooner than later. I feel it in my bones.
So weird to place the Alfa 155, JGTC Supra and Skyline in these modern classes with no separate series. The 190E DTM ‘92 would be outclassed by the Alfa, but at least that’d be another car in the era.

Plus, with PD bringing such cars back, the Tickford XR8 should be on PD’s bring ‘em back list.

Maybe they do not want to put much effort in multiple models because they are waiting for reception. Categories like those are tough to model since they need to be scanned and CAD data doesn't exist. Thats why GT500 from 2008 and 2016 came in batches while those older racers came in just one. In my honest opinion, looking at absence of Australian content in series, I doubt that they would go for 2000 XR8 racecar, but rather for some road cars instead. But comparing to Forza, with 2000 XR8 GT7 would stand out. Interestingly, GTS has Gr.A category mentioned in TCRF page, so Calsonic Skyline would not surprise me at all.

Seperate series could be added next to usual Gr. ones, simply adding tags for categories racecar belongs to. But BOP would be hard to achieve.

Nobody is sure what is the purpose of Gr.A was during that April 2018 daily race - naming pattern suggests it might be a lesser rally class named after Group A rally cars IMO.
