Yes. It reverts road cars to stock.
I haven't tried BOP in a Lobby, like say, replicating the Route X Tuned Road Cars PD built for Daily Races and World Tour.
Wait so if you use cars from your garage that you've tuned, does it revert them or is just if you pick Random or One-make?

If you use cars from your garage that you've tuned, when you select BoP, it will revert those cars to their stock bhp and weight.

I've tuned road cars to Gr.4 specs. Placed them in a mixed field of Gr.4 cars. When I selected BOP, my road cars were way faster than my Gr.4 cars.

I noticed my road cars were also riding higher than what I set them to. When I selected each road car during a replay, they were also topping out higher than what I set their race transmissions to. The BOP was as normal for the Gr.4 cars, but reverted the road cars to their stock settings.

Edit: A bit more discussion from Post #1990 back in February 2024.

Question if I wanted to make a grid with the 250 GT Berlinetta passo corto 1961 and Aston Martin DB5 1964 which other cars will fit this 2 for a grid?

A classic grid of.

250 GT Berlinetta passo corto 1961
Aston Martin DB5 1964
?
?
?
?
Beware that some 60s sports cars have CM and some CS tyres. Both of the above have CM, as do the Shelby GT350 and E-Type. The Porsche 904 and Alfa TZ2 have CS but are less powerful so can be PP matched.
The Merc 300 SL ’54 is a bit older but has CM. The Ferrari 500 Mondial weirdly has SH. The cobra, 250 GTO, and C2 corvette all have CS.

AI we’re pretty quick at these two tracks. Varying conditions at Fuji Speedway still saw the AI performance doing very well. Some cars opted for RS when a dry line formed. I stayed with the AI that switched from W to IW to RS. Even with me on RS the AI didn’t hand me positions.

Running test with both the W196 and RA272 since the RA272 has the weight advantage while the W196 has the HP advantage.

I figure it out.

First with both cars normal I got a

2:28 with the RA272 and a
2:36 with the W196.

So I increased the weight of the ra272 by 200 and decreased the HP of the W196 down to 240 and behold.

I had to. Until we get(which I highly doubt) some kind of Opel/Vauxhall/equivalent GM/GM Holden products from the nineties era in the game, gotta keep using that imagination.
Besides the headlights, they really do look the part! We also need to have 28 - 30 cars per grid.

Is the W 196 R '55 limited to RH tyres in custom races then, due to them being the default tyre?
I didn't tried, but I think it is RH tyres locked indeed.

A bit of testing here without the chicanes, it kind of work (don't mind my car). No headlights for the Mercedes sadly. The Porsche and the Mercedes are the intruders here, but quite a close finish for a one-hour race.

Been doing some races with the RA272 and Merc W196 as a historic Monoposto series. I’m never going to be able to afford more than one of these Mercedes, so I put a generic chrome/black livery on both just with manufacturer decals and driver names.

I added ballast onto the Honda until it was at 609pp like the Mercedes, but it seems a bit slow in a straight line now, so I might leave the Honda at a higher pp than the Mercedes. Just gotta figure out the right value still.

Did my first 60 minute race with my new Honda RA272 grid. Good race but a little tricky. Hardest part is getting the tire/fuel wear rate where I want it. This car goes forever on fuel. 33 laps at Catalunya on 4/6, next I’ll try 6/8. I’d like to do at least one stop in a 60 minute race..

Tyre wear can get you that. Treating some circuits as if they are more abrasive than others. Pitting just for tyres is still fun. :)

That’s true, I usually try to balance the two. That car is really good on tires too so maybe I should just leave the fuel and increase tire wear 🤔🤷🏻‍♂️
