Now, imagine if this is a soft B-Spec and we can fill the entire grid of SOPHY and spectate.

Yeah I think those of us in the highest tier of skepticism will not be much happier - I think it will purely replace the wheel-to-wheel moments with better AI.

I have a shred of hope for throttle fix, less so for tires. I have no expectation of pit strategy or loosening of the rubber band, but those don’t presently bother me too much as I do 1x fuel/tires and just kind of grind down to the bone like the AI if I’m driving for long enough. I suppose I am ‘fine’ with the current situation of not having to restart if I spin out, or having to pit early for repairs, since my competitors won’t completely and unilaterally dust me like competent human opponents would. Just another way to encourage my staying on the track!

I think the biggest anticipation for me is having P2 actually challenge for the lead. They follow me very dutifully at the moment, and rarely go for outside overtakes - some circuits may support just sandbagging the inside line to never lose P1 (i don’t actually know for certain). Having Sophy nip at and overtake me would be a huge step up…I’ve learned to ignore strategy and throttle/tire issues. Just cross that off my list! :P

So… which of your custom grids gets the first look at/from Sophy? :)

I’ll have to roll dice, myself!
I guess it’s car dependent.

Edit: Edit2. False alarm.

Edit3:
From 2023 SOPHY learned 340 cars. SOPHY has learned 19 circuit locations as of last month’s update.

Once I build two Vantage GT4 to complete my grid, I’ll see if SOPHY can use my GT4 grid as my first test. I’d like to use my Group A cars, but I’ll have to see how the tuning works for SOPHY.

I assume this means the current custom race settings are now available for GT Sophy. The wording seems like there are new settings in general but I wonder if it means that the existing settings now support Sophy.
Yeah you’re probably right. Would be nice if they added some new options but i’m not getting my hopes up. I’m just glad sophy is coming to custom races as this is something i’ve been hoping for

Here’s the SOPHY trailer.

An exclusive trailer sounds good... sounds very good... ;)

I hope Sophy has learned the correct lines at the Nürburgring. :scared:

I’m intrigued to see what they have in store for us

Yeah I agree, I feel like this is slightly false advertising.
I got excited at first because I was thinking they would add new settings like dictating mandatory tyre compounds or mandatory pit stops but yes I think it will only be the current settings being applied to Sophy...

Yeah, I got waxed. No jamming on the brakes from the Cutting through Forest’s Elbow. All good. Boost Weak

The first race I quit start of Lap 3, because the leaders just slowed down half a second per second. Boost Off. The second race, as seen above, SOPHY said, “Nite nite”.
The RS 500s were burning through the rear tyres due to 540BHP+skinny tyres. Plus, SOPHY only used ABS. No other AIDS. Nice! Turbo lag is high with the Gr.B swap Sierras. So, cars were trying to be controlled all over the track.

Switching to the GT4 cars at Sardegna Layout B, 10 minutes.

Edit: SOPHY can’t use the Vantage ‘18 yet so that’s out.
