LS swaps being overdone is FAR from being a hot take. Large swaths of the car community dislike them. This is bound to be unpopular, but the LS V8s have been done completely to death imo. Swaps are great but some more variety would be better.

This is my favorite Corvair swap from back in the 70's.The LS swaps are just so user-friendly in the real world. I’ve seen an LS in a Corvair. Had a built Powerglide trans. Torque everywhere with a mild tune. A Subaru swap into a 914-6 would be fantastic.
I'm real disappointed we haven't got the LT1 swap for the go kart yet.Only if your idea of car culture is watching the youtubes and the instagrams.
To another spin on it, from when this thread first fired up:This is bound to be unpopular, but the LS V8s have been done completely to death imo. Swaps are great but some more variety would be better.
So can we just put an LS1 in everything like in real life lol
Right. The GrB Subaru with the medium turbo upgrade slays at 700pp and is pretty fuel efficient. It even does decent at Tokyo rain at 600pp.With turbo upgrades, though...

The AE86 Levin I've swapped doesn't chime anymore, no idea about the rest. I'm not even sure it did chime originally or if only the Trueno did.Just a question, engine swaps make the speed chime of some cars disappear?
I would like to swap my Nismo R-32 for better fuel efficiency once I reach level 50 but, I'm wondering about that.
The chime is still there on the nismo r32 with the vr38 swap, even so it’s my favorite gtr swap along with the LS7Just a question, engine swaps make the speed chime of some cars disappear?

Stock: 1.6l 167 hp vs 1.8l 198 hpIs the B18c Integra engine that much of an upgrade?
Okay swaps but I think Sileighty should get R34 engine instead and Civic EG should get K20 '20 insteadThe K24A from the Garage RCR Civic is the flavour of the month:
Honda Civic SiR・II (EG) '93 | B18C-Integra-'98
Honda Civic Type R (EK) '97 | K24A-Civic
Honda Civic Type R (EK) Touring Car | K24A-Civic
Honda Integra Type R (DC2) '95 | K24A-Civic
Nissan Sileighty '98 | K24A-Civic
there are probably more K swapped nissans than RB26 swapped nissans IRL.Okay swaps but I think Sileighty should get R34 engine instead and Civic EG should get K20 '20 instead

Truthfully IRL the only engines that end up en mass into other cars are GM v8 and K series honda motors.
I don’t agree, my ek civic swap with 500hp+ works fineHonestly without drivetrain swaps, anything close or over 300 hp is too much for fwd cars.
