Oh man, I already know that 2JZ swapped M2 will be a fun beast
It is lol....i built a sleeper version earlier....it's an absolute ANIMAL! The way it puts the power down when it comes on boost is badass man....it spins the tyres, but not in a way that send you out of control, more in the way that it squats the end, spins but propels you right through the groove.

I really enjoyed driving mine around Laguna secs. It's Completely fully built with the ultra high RPM turbski, all other bells and whistles, but with the aero, instead of the full in bodykit, it's just for body piece 1 of each part (as they just use a lil instead of a full body kit), and a tiny lip spoiler instead of a proper....its got a nice set of wheels though, which, along with the carbon brake kit, is the only way you can really tell that it's had anything done.

But yeah, is an absolute beast to drive...i can't wait to rip it around the nordshleife, see what kind of time I can run out there!

Ah, it would turn out that my sacrificing 1,000 Mustangs in the name of the devil was finally reciprocated.
This is another absolute ANIMAL of a Swap lol... JUST the engine swap, no other add-ons, no nothing....and you double the power at 1200bhp...no need for new tyres, suspension etc etc etc...even just as, she's an absolute ANIMAL!!! I really wanted to post a video I did of me testing it out, but it won't let me attach a video 😞

Here's the link though if you want to see what the car does bone stock except the swap itself. It's SOOOOO much fun lol

Finally, the latest Ford GT with V8 lol

The bimmers with 2JZ seems fun, so much build possibilities.

Edit : M2 with 2JZ + Weight Reduction stage 2 and everything else stock is really, really fun to drive. Z4 with 2JZ with SH tires are also amazing.

I can't wait to try out the New Ford GT, with its 7 speed dual clutch transmission and the Windsor swap.

I might just de-tune it and make it more of a "what if Ford released the new GT with a V8".

Yeah, this car is an absolute beast with this swap.... I actually ended up swapping the engine in, giving it sport mediums, chassis rigidity, and uprated brakes and a limited slip diff...that's all I've got done to it (well, ecu aswell, but that's just so I can lower power for certain races), and it's an absolute monster of a car!!! I've genuinely enjoyed driving it on the nordshleife, aswell as Laguna seca, so it's WELL worth the ride! And it's so monstrous too!!! Granted, certain kinds of corners, you need to really drive it round, but, for the most part, I absolutely enjoyed it!

I do think I might take on your idea though, lower the power some, see what it would be like as a modern V8 ford GT

I've just completed a fully built 2jz Z4, I'm gunna try it shortly.

And yeah. The 2jz swapped M2 is a lovely car to drive...i think I did the same you know. Just stage 2 diet...

One thing I will say is though, just doing the 2j swap isn't enough...it seemed.... lacking..... definitely needed a few addons lol

Just realized the 964 flat-6 swap for the DS 21 is a reference to the car's original engine type for its top-of-the line model:
As with all French cars, the DS design was affected by the tax horsepower system, which effectively encouraged smaller engines. Unlike the Traction Avant predecessor, there was no top-of-range model with a powerful six-cylinder engine. Citroën had planned an air-cooled flat-6 engine for the car, but did not have the funds to put the prototype engine into production.

Would you mind sharing your tune? I really struggle with this swap so far.
This tune works the best for me:

It's a good set up to finish top 3 in most 600PP races(on medium difficulty...I even won that Nordschleife race against that crazy Gallo-Alfa...) and nice to drive and still feels like driving a DS while doing so...but you have to keep in mind that it is basically a chill-out lounge on 4 wheels and not a race car...especially in tight corners and hairpins it has some deficits compared to real sport/race cars...

I also have a completely tuned up version(375kw/1032kg) with racing tires in my garage that comes up to almost 700PP but I didn't fell in love with that one yet...
There is simply too much power on the front wheels, you get permanent wheel spin on your front tire when you accelerate and it's not very controllable...maybe lots of suspension and LSD tuning could help there, but then it wouldn't feel like a DS anymore...

First, thx for the tune! Unfortunately(?) mine is also maxed out. And I had exactly the problems you reported. Lots of wheelspin, problems putting the power down. But today, after watching a really helpful video about suspension tuning, I found a quite simple, acceptable setting. Full customizable suspension, all settings default except Natural Frequency, which needs to be cranked up high for this car. I set it to 3.00 for both front and rear and went to Le Mans. And the car felt good! Two things though: First I was on Fuel Map 6 all the time and there you can floor it from 3rd gear on. With full power the wheelspin may be more prominent again.
And second, the car felt good, but just as long as the track was dry. Driving on the wet track with IMs was quite awful. No grip and didn't want to corner at all. But I'm sure there's a solution for this also. Maybe diff settings? I keep on trying 'cause I really like this car!

That's useful information, I will try that out on my tuned up version...what also helps a little with the wheelspin: putting on a little bit of weight(10kg) and shifting it 100% to the front...
Luckilly I had some extras in my garage and I now have the 600PP version in my garage and the fully tuned one...

I only tried it once at the Le Mans grind race, but struggled not just with the handling but also with the fuel managment, with FM6 I just couldn't keep the pace...

Does anyone have a good car that the Toyota 2J gets swapped into? Experiences ? Thanks.
Not unlike the above poster who recommends the GR Corolla, I'd say that from personal experience, I love my 2JZ-swapped GR Yaris, as it can be tuned for pretty much all sorts of events. I usually use it for rounds of the WTC 600 and Race of Turbo Sportscars. It does excellently in dirt/snow events, too! I'd especially recommend the torque ratio controller and set it to 50:50, at least for tarmac-based events.

Most of the choices are fairly good, though the Yaris and Corolla will be standouts thanks to 4WD. The 2019 Supra and BMW M2 will be good choices too, thanks to their rear diffuser options and downforce-from-factory adding up to give them better cornering than the other options.
