I mean, we are three weeks from release, and it feels so this week, as if we are months away. The PlayStation site of GT7 is exactly the same, GT7 is only litte on the ps-landingpage. That’s everything but not understandable marketing.
We litterally got a State of Play showing almost everything from the game 2 weeks ago, what do you expect??

I will have the PS4 version too.... just wondering why don't show a single pic or 10sec gameplay video for the old gen. At the end there are115 milions ps4 in the world... If someone have some info about it, please share with me/us.
It's most likely that they'll show us how does it look like a week before its launch, something like what HFW has done.

I just cannot see any dev who is making a cross platform game actively show off how it would look on the inferior system when you're trying to show anything off.

"why haven't we seen any PS4 footage??"

...because it would be counter-productive to highlighting the game.

It's being pushed as a PS5 title and the PS4 compatibility is very much on the hush hush. They don't WANT people to know about it.

That's because you're like 15 years old. A day for you is literally twice as meaningful as it is for me. If I sleep more than 9 hours I wake up feeling the dread of missed opportunities because the days and weeks are going by so fast.

Do your homework.

I'm thinking of going a step further and doing this:

This is the only logical choice lol. I've got this livery on my Corvettes in GTS.

That is very condescending.. worst part is if he is a child it just makes it look worse to be condescending to a child.

anyway hes got a point. In terms of advertising on the playstation store they could make it bigger.

As someone whos approaching their 32nd birthday, the accuracy in this comment is 100%

You’re forgetting that Sony are releasing another very big game in like a weeks time and they kinda have to advertise that too. GT7 is not the only game that exists

After Horizon Forbidden West drops it’s a pretty safe assumption that the marketing for GT7 will ramp up very quickly

A buddy recently had the theory that time "goes by fast" as you get older because every unit of time is literally less meaningful than the last one. Each unit of time that passes becomes a smaller and smaller fraction of what you've experienced, to the point where you wake up, do whatever, and right before you go to bed you're wondering what even happened. Even useful tasks like going to work and making money become mindless events with no sense of time. And suddenly it's Friday - it's literally Friday, I thought it was Thursday - and you're thinking wow, I need to get my ass in gear next week and get something accomplished. To a kid in high school, a day keeps slogging on with no end in sight but to me, honestly I'd be happy if a day was 30 hours long because this to-do list is not getting any shorter.

Anyone else mention yet that the 1990 ZR1 in this shot (as said in menu gameplay), has pre-1990 interior? Would be pretty funny if Polyphony decided to make a duplicate 1989 version of the car, just to have both the 80's and 90's interior styles lol.

Nah this is how I feel about it all as well.

As someone who is now 59 years old, I have been pleasantly surprised how life keeps bringing interesting experiences and personal growth. Which isn't what I expected when I was 20 or 30 years old.
I wish you all that same experience.

No actually we were drunk on a beach and he brought it up. It was pretty mind blowing at the time.
Bit offtopic, but yeah... as a kid six weeks of holidays almost felt like six months. A year felt like an eternity. For me it was quite normal up until 18 (only holidays went over quicker and quicker). After this i had no age to look forward to, and time just felt rushing. Now 3 years felt like one year. And it just doesn't stop. Now i am wondering, what did i even do in the last TEN years? How did GT5 release 12 years ago? My gosh. 12 years...

The passing of time has changed for me since the pandemic. I can't remember Summers, Christmases...everything is blur. I let my Driver's License lapse recently forgetting my Birthday. I was really hoping that was not only because of getting older.

Yep, I am afraid it is the combination of COVID and getting older. I recognize the feeling.
This new year I have set myself the goal of doing something interesting and stimulating every month or so. Just to avoid it all becoming a blur.

I wonder what starting car everyone's gonna pick? I know we only get a choice of three, but was the Mazda Demio XD a hybrid like the other two? If not, it could put those who pick it at a potential disadvantage compared to the Honda Fit Hybrid and the Toyota Aqua. Now, it's not like fuel consumption is usually enabled in the campaign, but I can only imagine there'll be an event for hybrids somewhere in there, and those who pick the Mazda could end up being forced to spend credits on another car if that Demio XD doesn't qualify.

Not that any of what I'm writing here matters, as I believe you'll get all three of those Japanese compacts early-on, regardless of which one you pick from the UCD as your first car.

Maybe we’ll get that Ffull car list 12 days before release, like GTS. That’d be Monday, the 21. Or next week Thursday or Friday.

I would pick the Honda over the Mazda in GT Sport as the Mazda is not great on top end, for GT7 I’m not sure… maybe panic and randomly select like I do when ordering food 😂

Given how we're picking these cars from the UCD, I plan to pick the Toyota Aqua S and then modify it, so that it can take me as far as it's able throughout the campaign. Overall, I wanna buy as few cars as needed, mostly obtaining eligible cars as prizes from the campaign, licenses, and so on. That said, I plan to buy a second Aqua to leave as-stock.

EDIT: I mostly want to pick the Aqua since the other two were already in GT Sport, and I skipped GT6. Not to mention how appropriate it seems, picking a car from the first manufacturer partner.

EDIT2: I mean, that Aqua seems like it'll at least take me through the Sunday Cup, and the Japanese FF Cup. Maybe the Japanese Clubman Cup, too, if I modify it.

Honda Jazz/fit, K series swop and some wider arches for me please!

I think putting the S2000 engine in the S660 or S800 would be a lot more appropriate. But when it comes to my starting car, I do plan to mostly upgrade the internal bits initially, then save the more aesthetic customization for later. It'll depend on how many credits I have and how much the various aero parts/wheels cost.

EDIT: I'll likely create an eventual livery for my Aqua, too, but because I'm terrible at design in general, I plan to mostly use decals that feature correct parts brands - both real and fictional - such as Auto+ and Brembo. It simply drives me up the wall when I see someone else's livery in a racing game (whether it's GT or NFS) that has something like multiple tire sponsors, or a brake sponsor that's clearly different from the brakes on the car.

Off topic, I don't remember saying that comment. I'm going to be 28 this year, not 32. Wierd.

From what I've read you're forced to start in the Aqua, like the Fit in GT6.

My impression was that you pick between the three cars in the Japanese Compacts collection, in the UCD. Where’d you see that you’re forced to start with the Aqua? Not that I’d mind.

I think the highlight of news was on Sophy this week, we'll get that interview with @Jordan and Kaz about Sophy sometime next week, plus a little more info regarding the game, then with less than two weeks to go more official blogs and info will be revealed. Then a week to go publishers will release their reviews and people will be streaming. It's going to start getting busy.

A real shame what's happening with city tracks lately in GT. Seriously, Poly can't make an actual city track like R246 or Rome?! I don't know if the engine can't handle too many detailed 3d assets, I'd just like answers from Poly. To be honest, I'm not optimistic at all given the cross gen nature of GT7. Years of new tracks limited by a ten years old hardware... Oh and Pikes Peak is the new "Porsche" of racing game :grumpy:

Meh, I'd have agreed with you.... if it weren't for the fact that I know a couple of Klonoa fans on Discord in their early 20s who say time has been speeding up for them just due to the pandemic and being stuck at home. So no, I don't think it has anything to do with age. It's more like just doing the same stuff over and over is what kills time. Do new experiences, though, and time will slow down. According to some sites out there, anyway. shrug

I can really relate to this, but if I keep complaining about it, I'd get depression and an existencial crisis lol
