That David Wilson ad upper right is interesting,is that fictional?
Was interested in that and found this:
David Wilson is CEO of the Wilson Automotive Group. It is one of the 10 largest car dealership chains in the USA.
Wilson purchased the Toyota dealership Toyota of Orange in 1985. Wilson is the owner of the Benetti yacht Calex.

Wrong David Wilson. This one's the head of PlayStation communications in Europe.

The branding was also in GT Sport.

I wonder if historic layouts would be appropriate for GT7? I know that in GT4, we saw older versions of Fuji Speedway, and then in GT6, we saw versions of Monza and Brands Hatch from the 1980’s. One could also argue that featuring a layout of Le Mans without chicanes would count as including a historic layout, too.

But as much as I’d love to see a 1960’s version of Fuji - or perhaps a similarly older version of Monza with the large banked curve - I could understand why PD may not want to include those layouts. Especially when I’d prefer any notably historic layouts (barring Le Mans without chicanes) to have details like period-correct signage.

And speaking of historic courses, I would be highly interested in seeing a return of the Goodwood Hillclimb - not only since I skipped GT6, but also because we now also have the circuit. We could be tasked with driving an all-new set of cars up the course, with each car having a particular time to clear.

As for another course I missed due to skipping GT6, I feel that the Ascari Race Resort would also be welcome, especially as a potential round of the “Supercar Festival” and/or “Premium Sports Lounge” if either (or both) events appear in GT7’s campaign.

Finally, there is a third course I’d like to experience since I skipped GT6 - Silverstone. This track could easily be a round for at least some events featuring formula-styled cars, but especially the W08, whereas other cars like the F1500T-A could race at Brands Hatch as an alternative British venue.

Ninja edit: I would also hope that the venues for the events pertaining to the X2014 Standard and X2019 Competition would be inspired by the actual FIAGTC rounds that used those cars, such as at Le Mans, Sardegna A, and Spa-Francorchamps. I’d do something similar for the F1500T-A, such as with a round at St. Croix. At any rate, I think being inspired by FIAGTC rounds could differentiate the venue list for each formula-styled car, rather than risking too much overlap between each event’s venues. The only exception I’d personally permit is the Red Bull Ring; I’d have a round there for all three Red Bull cars as well as the W08.

Ninja edit 2: I’m also hoping that the transmission type for each will be more than something that’s displayed in the tuning menu - as we can see in GTS - and possibly something that can be an actual mechanic. Instead of simply choosing between AT/MT and having that setting apply to all cars, I’d have another option to have it go car-by-car. This would potentially even include the option to map a clutch for cars that specifically use a more “typical” manual, rather than a sequential or dual-clutch.

In this regard, I desire that more of the cars have a further development of their “in-game mechanical character,” as I’d call it, to compliment differences in their aesthetics, available customization options, handling, drivetrains, and so on.

In a similar regard, I’d limit which assists are available to each car as-stock, including various race cars. But you could still equip something like a brake balance controller or a fuel mapping controller as aftermarket. This could give people an appreciation for the cars that come with these things as-standard, and especially the sports cars or race cars that may have more on-the-fly tuning options available, such as for brake balance or TCS.

EDIT: Personally, with the exception of fuel mapping, I don’t even know if I’d personally permit changing the BB/TCS while you drive, or even permitting you to equip a part to do so, except for the cars that actually let you change these things as you drive, like the W08. I’d still allow for BB/TCS tuning on other cars, but only in the garage, instead. Not only could this prevent distracted driving, but it could also very well even the playing field a bit better, if only by having less things to think about as you’re racing.
What is... any of this?

The return of the career mode, the driving school, the used car dealership, the tuning parts, the original circuits and basically everything that made the early GT games so good and successful in the first place.

Indeed! :D I'm seriously going to embrace GT7 for going back to its roots.

Wasn't there anyone yesterday, who thought, his copy got send out?

I see it comming, when in middle of next week the embargo drops, there are before leaks in the net.

Hard to judge whether if it's really now Super Premium or not at a glance.
That 2J looks like crap in the profile pic
In fairness none of the cars are going to be looking that premium from a massively blown up thumbnail image. It's also famously boxy, making it even harder to judge.

Given that they got rid of premiums from GT Sport though, I can guarantee you it'll look 'super premium'.

Also, my first post since the early-ish days of GT Sport though I have been snooping; it's great to be back.

I'm aware of that, but I'd gladly pay a $10 upgrade fee to upgrade the digital PS4 version into the PS5 version for the convenience of not having to replace my disks, but I still want the physical steelbook 😅
I replied yesterday but mods didn't let the post through for whatever reason.

Nevertheless someone on Reddit contacted support and was told that the Steel book edition GT7 PS4 voucher could not be used to upgrade to the PS5 digital version, unfortunately.
