Digital GT7 PS5/PS4 GB size info.
View attachment 1116704
It's the next screen that's the important one. I found this out with the PS5 version Cyberpunk. 94gb claimed download but actual size was 56gb.

I'd question the accuracy of anything in the PlayStation Store after what I saw a couple of days ago with Cyberpunk. 94.63gb for the PS5 version (that was really only 56gb when downloaded) versus 71.74gb for the PS4 version :crazy:

They've said there would be 400+ cars. We've seen a picture of 400 cars on a 20x20 grid and we've seen 19 more in various trailers that weren't in that picture. Those 19 cars seem to have file names starting with W, X, Y, or Z, and aren't seen in that picture because of that (the cars in it seem to have been sorted alphabetically by file name).

It's possible that there are more than 419 cars in the game. They used to talk about 420+ cars until recently. But there won't be many more than we've already seen and they'll all be W-X-Y-Z cars. Mercedes cars with a W-something model name, or Nissan Z cars, stuff like that. Maybe a nice surprise or two at most.

I still refuse to believe there isn’t a lot more coming very, very soon, if not at launch. A new PS5 flagship main-series GT title with six-year-old Super GT and WEC machinery and a single five-year-old F1 car just doesn’t sit well with me. Most of the new cars that have already been confirmed like Carrera GT and Murciélago could (maybe should) have already been slipped into GTS. Forget us lot, I just don’t believe the home-market Japanese GT-playing contingent (or the J carmakers for whom GT has always been a monumental marketing tool) will stand for it, especially as it’s being pushed as an anniversary event. Nope, that Escudo is on its way. Gotta be...

Only alternative I can see is they’re going to straightaway announce a definite 5 or 10-car-per-month release schedule over the next two or three years.

I think PD have focused on getting a good basis of the game out with the time and resources that they had. I think (and hope) that they will now switch to boosting content with regular updates. They need to get in some more recent cars and a lot of great cars from earlier GT releases are still missing. So your 5 cars per month suggestion sounds about right to me.

I think that weather/dynamic ToD tech took alot of devtime to get it right

Pretty sure that’s been known for ages now!

one thing of interest is, the cars colour is labelled as Castrol Toms so hopefully this means a number of actual liveries will be selectable for the race cars!

I think this is mostly because this is a pre-order exclusive car.

If we can take a virtual tour and take photos inside our garages, i wonder if we can organise it as we want! Like cars from same manufacturer close to each other etc..

I initially doubted it first about the Castrol Supra being Gr.3 despite seeing it on the trailers where the Supra was racing against the Gr.3 cars in some of the Behind the Scenes trailers because I for one thought it may have just been a case of custom AI grids but now with this my doubts have been removed.

Gr.3 for that Castrol Supra.

I think placing it in Gr. 3 would make sense, as they were just roughly GT racing cars before the shift in regulations starting from 2002 that made the cars look more like silhouette touring cars, with far more powerful downforce that allowed them to drive even faster despite similar power and weight figures. And what's really surprising is that this Supra doesn't even have a two-J.Z., but rather a tuned four-cylinder turbo if I remember correctly.

GT500 from 1997 until 2001 would nearly be like the FIA GT2 category, another Gr. 3 archetype.

This will probably come off as negative, but I'm not, just somebody that really loves this game and will likely have lots of fun with it,
But after watching 'Kireth Kart' video, he has a lot of questions as do I

-No actual PS4 gameplay, how would somebody determine at the moment if it's worth getting the PS4

-In a video titled 'State of Play' no actual live gameplay, just replay's

-Key things such as multiplayer, touched on briefly but only vaguely

-The career mode, probably the center stage of the game, most drastic change to come in years, but no idea how it will actually work, seems at the moment like manufacture races from GT2/GT4 where you go to a specific car manufacture where your presented with a number of events, but in GT2/GT4 there was still a full on career mode in addition to.

No reason to not put other liveries anymore that the car's name doesn't feature the car sponsors anymore (Supra GT500 '97, GT-R GT500 '99, etc.). Then again, it's a car placed on Brighton Antiques, Used Cars for Legendary Cars, so there'd be no color selection to see.

But probably not for Castrol Tom's as, so far it's the only '97 GT500 Supra in the franchise (GT-R '99 though had some variations iirc, as well as if there'd be GT500 Supra other than '97 one). It would be clearer for cars that has many liveries in the franchise like GT-R GT500 '08 (in GTS there's only the Xanavi Nismo one), and it being a new one too (in Brand Central, above 2001).

I would say you've got to capitalize on that fear of missing out, first. You're not going to convince people to go out of their way to get their hands on the PS5, if they know they can get a good enough experience on the cheaper hardware they already have. Keep people guessing.

As i said before, PD might be doing the same as how HFW was handled, show PS4 footage one week before launch.

As I've stated before, why would you as a dev company show off the inferior product when leading up to a launch? That's just asinine.

Yes it's available for PS4 but as far as everyone is concerned on the dev end they don't want that one to exist to the general public.

Sony doesn't WANT you to buy the PS4 version. They want you to spend the money on their newest hardware and buy it for that.

For purposes of mainly me justifying the 2005 YellowHat Supra and 2006 Xanavi Z into Gr.2, you also have the case of why the Maserati MC12 (in 2006) and Aston Martin DBR9 (in 2009) both failed as GT500 cars. As explained here:

2006 Stile Corse Maserati MC12 GT1: Team Goh, two years removed from winning Le Mans, aimed for a Super GT return with the all-conquering MC12 – but after poor pre-season testing results at Suzuka, the ambitious Stile Corse effort withdrew just days before the first race of the season.

2009 Aston Martin Akasaka DBR9 GT1: Hitotsuyama Racing and Nova Engineering ran a limited schedule in 2009 with the Le Mans-winning DBR9, finishing each of its three races in 14th place [in class?]. Also finished 2nd in class at the 2009 1000km of Okayama, the very first Asian Le Mans Series race.

For those wondering about team stuff, the 250 GTO's chassis number is also treated as a "base color" in one of the dev diaries:

That being said, the top bar in the tweet seems to be broken so I can't exactly judge the capture/build date.
The Ferrari 250 GTO has 30 lbs. of torque? Good luck getting off the starting line.
And look at it's dimensions. That's the biggest car in history!
