Just read on Reddit from a early copy owner that the chase cam is still not rotateable with the right analog stick 😫 why PD whyyyy?
I'm still struggling to understand why this is a mega feature to so many? Since radar is returning(?), I don't see much need for specific rotation other than flicking the stick behind in chase/roof cam. I get it for cockpit cam, that it though.

This will be the last video I see of GT7 before getting the game. It'd be nice if anyone from here on would mark any leak as a spoiler, I don't think I'm the only one who doesn't want to see any of the game before it launches.

@Jordan and @Famine , can we please? And don’t give me "if you don’t like it don’t look". I don’t want to ignore and stay away from GTP this whole week because of spoilers.

I don't understand it. You are both on the GT7 information thread, within a week of release, knowing damn well there's games in peoples hands.

Actually, I didn't. I posted a news article about it. The forum software automatically creates the thread and, as it was 5am, I was already in bed when it did it. If you think I'm not going to post a news article about it in case people read it and spoil things for themselves, you don't really grasp what it is we do here.

Handily, both the article and the thread are pretty clearly marked - much more obviously so than completely unlabelled spoiler boxes - making it perfectly possible to not click on it if you don't want to see the leaked list of trophies.
I never said it was a mistake to post it, the message was pointed to syntex only to show the contradiction between his reaction toward a random user about possible spoil and a new article posted by an admin...
And of course, I meant "News article" and not "Thread", vocabulary mistake.

Some people play games to escape all the idiots around. Not meet more of them. In a driving game there’s no particular reason trophies need to be given for anything online. It’s just online as opposed to not. Still driving. Why is it so important to you that some trophies ARE only awarded for online stuff that could just as easily be done offline?
Not that I care a great deal, but the inverse also applies.

If you don't want to play all aspects of the game, the online aspect being a significant portion, with its own progression structure, challenges etc., why would you expect to be able to get the Platinum trophy, which is received for completing challenges covering the full breadth of the game?

Either do everything to get the platinum trophy, or just play offline, who cares about the platinum trophy, job done.

Sometimes, I just want to enjoy my liveries in real time gameplay. Thats just an example of why it would be so nice to have that feature.

Would be welcome if you could explain why you think our posts are **** comments, @MagpieRacer, given your reaction. Let’s flip the question, why do you (seemingly) think you deserve a platinum trophy if you’re only playing half the game? How exactly are you penalised? Go on, humor us.

Half the game? 😂 A mainline Gran Turismo game is 50/50 online Vs single player? No.

Gran Turismo Sport, which launched without any single player campaign, fine, I get the online trophies because it's an online focussed game. GT7, isn't, it has online modes yes, but it is, at its core, a single player experience. Like all other numbered Gran Turismo titles before it.

Players who dedicate time to playing the core experience of the game should be able to achieve platinum completion without being forced to play online.

It could also be the A80 Supra RZ. The wings on the ST205 and A80 are kinda similar to each other.
That very much looks like a silhouette of the ST205 on the left, and the one on the far right looks more like the A80... but I didn’t think the GT4 was going to be ready by launch? Unless maybe it’s the actual WRC car? But that should have a roof scoop, which I don’t see like in this image:

Ohhh, I didn't see that. If that's the case, then YIPPIE! This is one of the first times where I'M HAPPY about being wrong instead of hating myself. :D

If this is true, then you know what that means?

Because it's the most basic feature in any racing game today. Also it's nice to admire your car during gameplay, watching the suspension work the wheels spin, seeing your lively etc. And even while racing checking your surroundings if you like chase cam for playing. Why model such high poly cars during gameplay if you can't even enjoy them properly.

If it's the ST205 and I really want it to be. My only other explaination since the Administer pointed to me about the A80 Supra RZ on the right was that it's perhaps a Supra SZ-R. I only say that because PD has already shown alternate variations of certain cars for GT7 like the DC2 Integra, BMW 3.0 CSL, e30 M3, and Ek9 Civic Type R.

But if it truly looks the most like a ST205 to everyone else, then it's likely that. and I agree that it doesn't look like the WRC car. I posted that image because I was excited to at least replicate it with the livery editor.

EDIT: With that said, I do find it interesting that PD is adding back the road car first versus the rally car. Not complaining as that's what I preferred, but still odd. Because the Rally Car was already a premium in GT6 and since apparently PD hasn't upped the polygonal count on their cars, then I would figure it's just needed to be given whatever updates required to be GT7 ready.

They don't even provide the feature to rotate the car freely in the menus either. This is what the Garage provides:

It could be an ST205, I'm not 100% convinced but we've seen 138 of the 140 Japanese cars in some kind of media. If we assume one of the mystery cars is the new Z that still leaves one mystery car left and hell it could very well be ST205.

The road car does have a lot more functionality in the game than the rally car, so that much makes sense to me. In GT5 the WRC Celica was one of the few high-poly rally cars that didn’t have extensive damage modeling, and I think is old enough in the PS3 era that it may have actually needed a fair amount of touching up on the edges for the new modern standard, but I haven’t looked at it in a while. Given Toyota’s close partnership I figured it was inevitable (almost surprised it didn’t come in GTS DLC), but I am surprised to see it specifically now for other reasons.

A few settings in custom races

Great to see that custom races earn credits. That should make grinding feel a bit less grindy, particularly compared to GT Sport.

I'm delighted to see it, particularly with the lack of dirt/snow tracks, and the increased customization options for road cars. Let me make my own Celica rally car I say!

Quick question, is there a difference between the two console versions of the game? If I get the PS4 version of the game, and then upgrade to a PS5, will there be a lack of performance, do I need to then repurchase the game but for the PS5?

I will probably wait for GT7 to release a special edition a year later. I always enter a new GT series late and wait for a price drop or content bundle.

That awful 3rd camera view again :grumpy: No 360 degres camera view, no garage view. Is it a 2022 game? I'll buy GT7 (after some weeks of Elden Ring) but my expectations are pretty low in terms of features...

They never talk about the ps4 version so that's never good. PS4 version will probably be a gt sport spec 2 kinda thing yk

I’m hoping it has good visual options, hopefully TRD spats and skirts, 2 or 3 of the factory wing options, and/or the HIRO kit.
