I don't understand it. You are both on the GT7 information thread, within a week of release, knowing damn well there's games in peoples hands.

If you were in a movie theatre, and you saw someone who got to see the movie you were going to see a day before release, instead of ruining it for everyone by yelling it, wouldn’t you prefer the person to stay quiet?

I never said it was a mistake to post it, the message was pointed to syntex only to show the contradiction between his reaction toward a random user about possible spoil and a new article posted by an admin...
And of course, I meant "News article" and not "Thread", vocabulary mistake.

I can stay clear of news posts. But ignoring multiple threads because one or two posts may have spoilers is ridiculous. Which is why I asked to have spoilers IN SPOILERS. Seems @Famine did it again.. made me log out. Thanks. People can share what they want, but the forum has the spoiler button for a reason. Remove it then, since we don’t need it. 🤷🏼‍♂️

This confirms 2 things, 1 good and 1 bad. The good, there are multi-race championships. The bad, the races seem pretty unchanged from recent GT's wher you start single file with huge gaps between each car. What a big shame that is.

If you don't want to play all aspects of the game, the online aspect being a significant portion, with its own progression structure, challenges etc.

Where is this info about ‘significant portion’ with its own ‘progression structure, challenges, etc’ coming from? It’s just a bunch of online races (against many cretins you’d avoid IRL) or messing about in lobbies. What progression structure is there in that ?

I’m more than capable of doing it all, plat trophy in GTS, a one in four win ratio in online races, but I fail to see why anyone would think the online stuff makes up a ‘significant portion’ of the game when it’s not. It’s a relatively insignificant add-on imo. At times fun, at other times a complete clownshow. GTS was designed to be an online showcase, I grant you, but main-series GT titles have always been focussed on single-player career stuff.

They should’ve done a PS5 updated version of Sport for people so inclined, but kept GT7 true to the main series ethos.

Saying it's 'basic' or 'every other racing game has it' isn't elaborating to me why it's actually necessary to have though? I love looking at these cars just as much as everyone else, but that's what replay is for? Also the only reasonable amount of time one would have to look at their car 'during gameplay' is going down the long straights at the Nordschlife and La Sarthe, no?

They clarified on reddit it was actually the hood view. That guy on twitter is mistaking dash cam for the hood view too.

You are in the main GT7 thread on the biggest GT centric forum on the internet. Complaining about leaks and spoilers here when this’ll be the first place they’ll show up outside of the GT subreddit seems strange to me

I'm just saying that if you're gonna post a leak, just mark it as spoiler until the launch of the game, I'm not forcing you to stop posting those things because other might find it interesting (not that i even said that stop posting leaks, but ok), but for us that don't want to see anything of the game asides of what's shown by PlayStation, don't.

With any luck it will be a proper hood view for all cars and not the inconsistent hood view for some and roof view for others that we have in Sport. I don't see why there shouldn't be an option for either of the two above mentioned views and a proper dash cam as well.

I won't hold my breath though

I don't understand the people complaining here about the gameplay video's from early copies. The game has no story or secret ending like other game genres or movies. Its a racing game with 90% of its cars and tracks that are from the previous game so why feel spoiled? This thread is literally there for the latest news about the game, whether it's from players or PD.

The road car does have a lot more functionality in the game than the rally car, so that much makes sense to me. In GT5 the WRC Celica was one of the few high-poly rally cars that didn’t have extensive damage modeling, and I think is old enough in the PS3 era that it may have actually needed a fair amount of touching up on the edges for the new modern standard, but I haven’t looked at it in a while. Given Toyota’s close partnership I figured it was inevitable (almost surprised it didn’t come in GTS DLC), but I am surprised to see it specifically now for other reasons.

That is very true, it was an older kind of premium model that would need a retouch. Much like the Evo IV and you telling me these things made me realize something else.

I think I know why now GT Sport had such a low car count compared to GT5 & 6 despite not having relatively the same poly count on its models as the PS3 games. It's not only the older premium models needing a visual update perhaps, but also because they needed to give those cars the same visual damage detail as on GT Sport. GTS while not having the best visual damage system in the world did have some differences in its damage modeling from GT5 or 6 with things such as how dents are made, scratched paint, and cracked headlights & taillights.

I also like the track markings on High Speed Ring. The circuit looks well used over the years. Also looks narrow like in GT4, rather than wider in GT5/6. Nice track atmosphere with the stands and parking areas, walls, etc. Well done.

Just ordered the standard PS4 copy (don't care about the extras) and downloading now. Thought I had to delete GT Sport but forgot I could delete ACC and Detroit Become Human instead. With those gone I have 750GB remaining so we're good...

How are you going to force people who haven't signed an NDA to conform to an NDA?

They're just regular people who have bought a game and now get to play the game and record their gameplay. It's Amazon's fault for delivering the game too soon.
