He said he put it on Hard difficulty, but then realized near the end of the stream when going through the race settings that you have to select "Professional" in there separately. Didn't get to see how different it was before the stream abruptly ended.

Initial Impressions from playing Music Rally while the full game installs
  • Catching an oversteer on a controller feels more intuitive than before I believe. The Weight transfer of the car feels easier to predict, probably because of the haptic feedback
  • The haptic feedback is nice. Haptic feedback goes from left to right based on where the weight of the car is. The brakes (right trigger) is heavy so its easier to be more smooth. The Left trigger vibrates when the wheels are spinning out. There is haptic feedback whenever you shift gears
  • (I think this wasn't in GTS?) You can change all the assist settings when you pause the game (TCS, ABS, Driving line, etc) ; This could be just a Music Rally thing, not sure yet.

Maybe I will post more if I dont get lazy

Edit: I also can't believe its actually here, Thanks Amazon!

Edit 2: Idk if the driving is more Arcady in Music Rally mode or not, but I feel like the cars drive much less understeery than it felt in GTS. Also driving in the Tokyo Expressway now the haptic feedback you get when driving over the bumps on the highway feels nice. I think the burg is gonna feel really bumpy, kind of excited.

Edit 3: I am currently confirming whether or not I am allowed to post footage and screenshots

Edit 4: Driving in Tokyo Expressway...Day Night progression...Its finally back...Its beautiful...😭
So excited for the haptic feedback details you provided. Gonna be great driving with a pad finally. Unfortunately I can't use my t300rs in my new house. Wife's gonna beat me

What does the cockpit orientation offset setting do?
It offsets the wheel to the side and shows the rest of the windscreen. It recommended that you sit in a position where the wheel would be in front of you. Perhaps if you have a big TV, you can sit on one side of the screen with your wheel? It doesnt really feel right with my 27 inch monitor.

Is there any time stamp?

Did he mention what difficulty he's playing on? And isn't it the early races in GT were always too easy?
He was on the hardest but there was some weird pepper icons that seemed to denote that there may be another difficulty level yet to be unlocked.

@NanoSaibou Have you unlocked the Showcase yet? The music library should be in there.

If/when you do, can you screenshot the full list of Daiki Kasho's music in there? Besides his old stuff in there, I want to see how much he's done since he became sound designer at PD.

These are Daiki Kasho's songs.

Also I'm positive the sound design has improved. Unless the Gr.B cars and the GT3 cars that I remember had drastically different sounds. Racecar transmission whine, the shifting rattle, the tire squeals, all seem to have been refined.

The annoying upshift overrevving(?) thing is still present on normal manual cars though...

The Suzuki Swift Gr.4, is closest we’ll get to a modern TCR(though it’s 3/4 the size of the TCR segment), that’s actually a five door hatchback.

As for the Gr.4 G70, it’ll be an interesting battle between that and the Gr.4 Atenza.
