Of course though, as this forum has proven time and time again, whatever Kaz and PD does is good, even if it actively throws a middle finger to fans and players, or they actively lie to their faces.
Yes, we love Kaz and PD. Everything they do is perfect. They are like a religion to us. I even have a poster of Kaz in my bedroom, which I pray to every day.

This is so wrong on so many levels. I've been here for half a decade and users here have different opinions when it comes to PD. Just because most people don't talk like they have personal vendetta against Kaz doesn't mean we agree with everything he does.

Again, another ludicrous claim. You have a bad habit of making snide remarks about this fanbase which are false. We don't always approve Kaz's decisions, and you've been around these parts long enough to know that we do complain about the shortcomings and the broken promises. GT Sport isn't perfect; no-one said it was and we make that clear time and time again. We don't revere Kaz like a God and suggest that he can't do anything wrong. It is a falsehood, and you're treading a dangerous line if you honestly think that about us. Don't give us this kind of drivel if you cannot substantiate your claims.

And here I thought people complaining about every little aspect of GT5, GT6 and GT Sport over the last ten years was just being a big funny and that you didn't actually have problems with those games

Or, in actual reality, this is like most forums in that not everyone thinks the same.

There are people that worship PD. There are people that criticise them, and people who are somewhere in between.
There also people that only criticize them and it is not fair at all in my opinion. If they think that PD are **** at everything then i don't even know why they play GT and why they post on GT forums honestly

Who knows, maybe they just hang around in the hope that they will turn things around at some point.

Personally I wouldn't be here if I wasn't interested and hopeful in GT7, just as I wasn't here for most of GT Sport's life because I had little interest in it as an online focused game.

I guess I'm very much a pessimist/realist though.

I think a lot of people who both blindly praise and criticize various game developers don't really know much about game development. I also believe the best fans of a given thing are those who take a middle line - they know what they like has room for improvement, but they don't just hate it blindly. They also know how to explain what they like about that thing, but they won't exactly worship the ground they walk on, either.

For example, I'm a fan of the Pokemon games, but I think GameFreak's relatively small staff size is what holds them back the most, even with the likely outsourcing they do with Creatures Inc. and TPCI. I also don't know if development time could be a factor, as Pokemon games get released real often - could GameFreak be under pressure by TPCI to rush games out? I'm not too sure, since I believe they work on a given game for at least a couple years.

So that's what I mean. We'll likely never know how PD (or GameFreak) operates due to many layers of NDAs - as they would be likely trade secrets - and what sort of advantages/flaws they may have in their structure and development process. But I don't mind that terribly - what does bother me is people who claim a developer can do no wrong, or always does wrong. Stay rational!

The game was great GT1 to GT4. It went wrong from then on. I think that the internet meant they felt they didn't need to concentrate on GT mode as much as before. That, to me, has driven most of the negativity on this site. That is PD's fault. Anything else about the games? Credit where it is due. They do good work. Just not in the area I want it done in.

There's people who hates GT, PD, and Kaz.....

......And there's people who hates its fans because they enjoy its product.....

....don't be the latter, no matter what you guys think about GT, PD, and Kaz.

This applies to any franchise, company, and CEO. Not just GT, PD, and Kaz.

Leave....them......alone!

Tbh yeah. People be claiming that only criticizing constantly is the only good way, and blaming the lack of game's quality from those that explains what they like (those that explains what they like for the game is regarded as "blindly praising").

I noticed GT YouTube channel logo being blank, maybe they are gearing up to something...

Seemed too much to ask for a traditional SP (truly) offline GT Mode.

I’ll stand by my words then and do the same as I did with GT Sport, ie. making never purchasing the game into a tradition.

The choice between the new consoles just got significantly easier too.

The game has an offline GT Mode.

Whether you’re a competitive racer, collector, fine-tuning builder, livery designer, photographer or arcade fan – ignite your personal passion for cars with features inspired by the past, present and future of Gran Turismo.

From classic vehicles and tracks to the reintroduction of the legendary GT Simulation Mode – enjoy the best features from past installments of the series. And if you love to race – practice and compete in the FIA Championships and Sport Mode*.

But Gran Turismo 7 is also about more than racing. Refine and create in the evolved tuning and customization mode or improve your skills and racing strategies through Driving School.

I'm pretty sure changing a logo of any channel on youtube doesn't require it to be a blank picture for a few hours before updating, so I would assume it is a bug.

I like the description of GT7 so far. GT for me is more than racing, I could spend more time reading car descriptions and replay than racing. So good luck Poly! Just a bit more of communication in 2020.
I was hooked by a replay of GT4 in a store. I didn't play video games at that time, but the cars looked so real that I was interested in buying a PS2. (Since I had aroused my passion for cars at the same time).

Replays are still my favorite feature. And I hope they come in full screen on GT7. ;)

I really think we will get more news for Gran Turismo 7 right after the PS5's release date,

but because Gran Turismo is a best seller in its kind of games, (I'm guessing) there will be no release date for the game until Sony hasn't fully increased the PS5's production.

Maybe around March or April 2121 for a release announcement, or if it has been announced before the end of 2020, March/April could be the time GT7 would be released.

(Sorry I'm assuming a lot , trying to be realistic)

I think this is the problem right here. Sony don't want to make any major announcements until the players can readily access the console. Putting out a release date for GT7 too early will cause frustration for those who cannot get the console.

Alright, ladies and gents let keep things civilized in here, there is no need to put too much emphasis on people only critizing or praising.
I think @Samus gave a pretty decent response, some fans praise, some critisize and some are in between. It doesnt really matter at what level they do and there is simply no need to turn against each other if people share their opinions on what they like, hate or appreciate about a certain product.

There is just so much going on in the world today and the worst we can do is turn against one another (just a feeling I have).
We can all agree to disagree for sure but no need to get personal over it.

Back to Topic GT7: Realistically expected to be released sometime next year and possibly we will get some tiny bits of or leaks as time passes.

Actually we just had one of the best news about GT7 as it is confirmed to be running in 4k / 60fps with Ray Tracing which means to me two things :

- the game's dev is extremely well advanced and a Spring release is not a crazy idea

- there may be behind that highly detailed resolution some work on the VR/2 (upscaled to an 8k resolution) so GT7 could be released as an already VR/2 ready game.

I think the next news about GT7 will be some images and videos confirming that grade of resolution, in addition with some discrete clues of the cars, tracks and features.

I think one of those videos will showcas customisation. When we got the GT Sport trailer showing the R8 LMS with decals being moved around, that was one of the most hyped features ever. Livery Editor is a mainstay. It has to be improved fo Gran Turismo 7.

In the gtp community alone, members here, have been gracious with their time. Uploading/sharing thousands of svg files. All that data PD have stored, I'm thinking Livery skins will be something new.

Even though PD have given us duplicates with different liveries, a car like the Calsonic R32 GT-R, could just as well have authentic livery skins in the ME.

Players will definitely create such liveries, but there should always be options.

I think Sony are probably flat out in manufacturing P5s, but I do agree its better for Sony to space out big games like GT7 to keep demand up over a longer period, makes the logistics easier and their bottom line healthier.

That said, I do wonder when we'll see more of GT7. If they can get more stock to retailers you'd assume Sony will be hyping up what is actually available in the run up to Christmas, so could it be 2021 until we see anything ? If it is releasing in spring (as many of us hope) thats not all that long to build some interest/excitement. I can easily see it being later, especially if Sony wants the focus on the HZD game.

I don't expect to see beta testing as they did with GT Sport, as they can re-use all the online stuff from Sport. I'm not sure that there will be lots of rework to physics and format of the game - I kind of expect it to be GTS + single player + graphics improvements + some new cars (and not dozens of them..) with semi-regular updates like Sport.

Hopefully the Sport updates mean PD are a bit more used to getting stuff out and thus, better at hitting deadlines.
