So true what is wrong with this series they only seem to carry over the annoying things and leave out the rest instead of building on the series i totally forgot we used to have a track maker and bob to make you cash things like that should have been improved each game but nope throw it away and start again...
I used a Castrol Tom's Supra from pre-order bonus because nothing else I already had had as good grip even in the dry, nevermind the wet, and I didn't want to buy a new car (first attempt in the R8 Evo was a disaster). Monitor weather radar and fuel. Medium RPM turbo and full wet tyres are the only extras I needed for it, everything else left stock. Start on RH tyres, and about a lap after the rain starts (it started roughly around lap 3-4 on my attempts), just when grip is starting to drop, pit for full wet tyres and fuel - I also own Intermediates and these were basically useless for the amount of rain I got on this mission my first attempt in the Supra, so it has to be full wet tyres I think. Manage everything right and you'll only need to pit once again for fuel and a return to RH tyres when the track is nearly dried. Take the banking carefully in the wet, be as smooth as possible when passing others. I managed to win by a very long way even with spinning twice in the rain where grip is worst (once between the tunnel and last corner, once between 1st and 2nd corner while trying to pass someone else). The Supra doesn't suffer as badly from random loss of rear wheel grip and sudden oversteer the way I found other Gr3 cars I own do, which means when the mission gets wet you can generally move a lot faster than the AI. You'll win by better grip in the wet (a lot of the AI cars spin out, especially just before the last corner and between the first and second) and pitting less than opponents. My brother used the same strategy and finally did it, it was the only mission he hadn't golded - I'm well behind because I can't drift to save my life.
I wonder if it's based on the length of time it takes to accomplish your marathon, to reflect our ticket? It took me awhile today and I got a 4 star, most other days I just do one championship and log off and I've been getting 1/2 stars.

It is a twitchy little monster, isn't it! Very short wheelbase I suppose. Once you lose it, it's properly goneSo glad I snapped the Stratos up, what a joy it is to drive! Definitely a handful on Comfort tyres and that's what makes it so fun
