Very juicy update, love it! Was kinda hoping that Pikes Peak would arrive, but I'll happily take the Glen! Wonder if the track will support dynamic weather, really hope so.

For the people that I know will ask this: No, PD didn't bring the selling feature as of now. (Patch notes doesn't speak about it)

Watkins Glen looks phenomenal, this is the first time i'm watching this track asides of textual quotation. And I'm glad that Suzuki Escudo is finally back at the best resolution and modelling possible!

These are not patch notes, but more like a update overview. Full, detailed patch notes usually are posted after the update has landed. So there is still hope.

They wouldn't reveal that on a blog post. We gotta wait for the full patch notes tomorrow.

Alright, I don't know if it's me, but is that the valve covers sticking out? 🤣

lets hope we will get big payouts events for some tracks.
There are lots of tracks that don't have that many events as you'd expect like Tokyo Expressway, Kyoto Driving Park for example, I hope they add something to it.

So both the datamined car list and the leaked scapes data seem to have some truth to them.

I think it was Watkins Glen, Road Atlanta, Albert Park, Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve and another one I forgot.

I will once again ask why the hell were those menus not there at launch?
So they could be added back in later. Content updates keep up engagement. If you cut lots of content before release to add it later, you can manage that free engagement with no effort.

Ok fanboys, instead of laughing at this post, how about another explanation? Why else were these clearly finished features left out and only added in months later?

Oh, I knew it ... it was not a factory stock roadster. What a dissapointment. 😞. Sorry I'm complaining but this update was nothing to me. Looking forward to driving a stock Ford 32, not a hot rod. I simply have to be satisfied with the cars already in the game.
But at least the track looks fun! 🙂. Hoping for better cars next month.

I have been buying all of the cars that go through the used dealership. My worry is that I will own all the cars and that this menu book does not add anything for me to do.

Is there any replacements for the grind of segonda or lemans?
If nit i won't even bother uploading up update and wait till next month before I bother playing again .

So funny how PH said they didn't want people grinding the same old track over n over yet have made the game exactly that

It's not personal abuse to suggest that the problems with an auteur's product might be due to the presence of the auteur themselves, and that the product as a whole might in fact benefit from the removal of said auteur. That's what you get for being an auteur and the visible face of a product.

I mean, very few people have a problem with the statement that the Game of Thrones TV series would have finished better if D&D had buggered off and let someone competent run the last few seasons. We can all see how badly they messed up what could have been one of the greatest television series of all time.

Gran Turismo is far from the trash fire that was GoT Season 8, but I think the state of Gran Turismo releases in the online era raises some very fair questions around whether the direction of the Gran Turismo franchise is all that it could be. And an obvious potential solution for a franchise so strong associated with a single creator would be to put someone else in charge. Whether such a thing would be Gran Turismo in anything but name is debatable, but major games have been turned around like this before.
But I really enjoyed the final GoT season

Even then EA did use the IP in their games, though. Or rather they they did for most of it, there was a weird stretch from 2002-2004 where there were no Porsches in the games with advent of the Underground saga.

It seems sketchy that an entity could lock out use of an IP without purchasing outright ownership, I believe there’s laws around this king of thing in the film industry and has caused interesting things to occur with superhero IPs over the last ~20-30 years. It also seems like something similar to domain squatting which also does have legal precedent, but I really don’t have thorough knowledge on what type of IPs can be treated in what way, legally.
EA used the Porsche license during the Underground era for Shox.

Dumb question but was there any hidden/leaked list of those tracks in GT7? I don't remember to be honest.

I remember back in GT Sport days, someone found some data on various tracks that aren't in the game.
The actual playable tracks are not there.

These are just from the condition listings -- nearly all of these have loadable environment settings and skies you can use on any track in the game.

4 of those have been added to GT7, the rest...well it's unknown but I wouldn't be fully surprised if we get Road Atlanta or Grand Valley.

I'm working for GT who will be present at Goodwood Festival Of Speed again this year showing off GT7 in the Driver's Lounge and Media Tent. It won't be at any public display as far as I know. In previous years there's been a rig at the FIA stand but with the ending of the license that won't be the case this year obviously.

No, there has been no track/scapes leak from GT7 data. Only the GTS stuff you posted.

I also don't recall Circuit Gilles Villeaneuve or Albert Park being in them. The latter was just a promo image in the background of a video that was confirmed nothing to do with GT7.

Here you have some details about the hot rod.

Engine: V-8 Hemi, overhead valves, 331 cubic inches
Transmission: 3-speed manual
Weight: 2459 pounds
Horsepower: 180 at 4000 revolutions per minute

Cant wait to drive it and see what modifications we can make!

Edit:
Here‘s a motortrend article about that particular car ->

From what Nenkai has posted, a lot of the events that were tied to removed collections etc. still exist in the game files, but were completely unfinished in terms of content such as the graphics, the AI, and the talking heads.

With how PD micromanage the AI settings with individual boost, fuel and wear levels, I can see why making an event takes them 100x longer than it should do.

I think a better discussion at this point stems from why they released an unfinished game? Were they rushed out the door, was this or was this by design? Both are *****, but for different reasons.

Yeah, I knew I saw Whistle Snap's datamine of there being Watkins Glen... Huh.

For those asking about the rest of the datamined tracks. btw:

Um, btw, I'm kinda avoiding this forum due to the volatility and behavior of certain people. So I may be quiet from now on. Still, you can @ me when you need me, I guess.

I have considered that possibility, yeah. They have one person on AI, and an AI so bad they need to micromanage it to get good "racing" out of it, along with a need to have a unique photo for every single race. It's wildly inefficient. The biggest issue of course is the AI, assuming this is all the cause rather than holding it back for easy "new content" engagement.

I still believe ~9 per month is absurdly slow, but who really knows what they're up to? They won't tell.
