Can someone tell me what the current credit cap is? It used to be 20 million, then was raised to 100 million ... I have now over a 100 million ... ?

If you bought preorder or bought credits for real money then it can go above 100 million but I don't know if there is a cap for credits bought with real money.

100 million is the cap for 'free' Credits, and there is no cap on purchased Credits.

All of the above, and also note that "Gift" credits - such as the Bonus Campaign awards - are also classed as purchased credits.

Car selling confirmed on the PS blog.

"Ability to sell vehicles:
With the latest 1.26 patch update installed (internet connection required), players would be able to sell cars within their personal garage once the GT Café Menus are completed."

I like how they just casually drop a single sentence at the end of the blog article as if they didn't know people have been frothing at the mouth about this feature. Personally, I really don't care much about the feature and even more-so now that I don't have the need to grind for credits anymore. I guess unloading some duplicates isn't that bad.

But at first you have to complete the GT Cafe books. What a nonsense.

I would have to disagree here, the cafe books are part of the single player game so I think it's fair of them to expect us to have completed those with regard to selling cars, yes it might have been nice to have no restriction but for the majority of us the menu's are all done so it makes our experience no different...

Let's see, what other restrictions there are, when you want to sell an exspensive car or what you earn when you sell the car..

That all sounds to friendly. I dont trust them.

Fair point, for me I probably will not be selling much in all honesty but I am sure there will be big discussion on that tomorrow!

It does seem arbitrary now that you mention it. For me, I finished the books out within the first 2-weeks of the game - as I would imagine the majority of people on here did similarly.

I can't wait for the uproar when you get 20% of the sell price as credits for the car and then the immediate defense posts from people doing mental gymnastics explaining why it's fair and that you should gold every license and mission and CE - because for some reason you're not qualified to complain unless you've done that, apparently lol.

Here's to hoping there is a fresh and new take on selling cars as that Nik- whatever his name is on here and Twitter stated a few months back.

I bet this will be only for vehicles that we have purchased, and it's going to be like only 30% or 40% of their price.

I remember reading some speculation floating around Reddit that said that the sell feature wouldn't be simple like it were in all the past games from before, but it would be like a multiplayet complement of the used car marketplace were we would buy used cars that were used from other players.

That would be a interesting way to get engine swapped cars without dealing with the RNG nonsense of the roulette.

If you click on the circle to the right of your credit total at the top of the screen, then click on balance details, you'll see your free credits(credits you earned playing the game,100 million max) and paid credits(credits you received when you bought the game or credits you purchased, unlimited),but the only way to use your paid credits will cause you to go broke, its kind of silly.
If you didn't spend the credits you received when you bought the game, they just sit there, unless you decide to spend all your credits and be broke. 🤪

If so, there's gonna be a flood of swaps from the Bonanza fiasco lol. I wish they had another one because I feel like I've gotten like 2 of the engines dropped after that time ever since. Even when I get the rare 6* engine ticket, they give me one of the engines I have 10 copies of (I didn't partake to the extent like many on here did with hundreds of engines lol)

I wonder if restricting selling until after you’ve completed the menu books is a hint we’ll be able to sell any car we want?!

Did not know you could do this! Thanks for the head's up!

Any idea on whether gift/prize cars would be eligible for selling yet, or just a case of finding out tomorrow?

If selling cars only applies for cars that we have bought ourselves, then that would render the feature obsolete as the majority of people only would want to sell prize cars that they don't want. Going back to GT4, this practice was used as a credit method by winning and selling the Toyota RSC Rally Raid Car over and over until you could afford a Pescarolo or something.

Interesting to note that the Silverstone DLC for rfactor 2 is being delisted soon, due to the licensing cost for renewing it being way too high (apparently it would be the highest cost in the games history).

If Lotus haven't come back because of payment disputes, I'd reckon it is very likely that Silverstone is also asking more than PD/Sony is willing to pay, it's one of those tracks that is really a strange omission from the roster for it to be any other reason.

Shame. Trying to recoup the losses for the resurfacing bodge job perhaps.
