Well, blame
@Jordan for all this but.. If I were to place a bet: I'm going to guess B-Spec mode will be implemented? I know nothing about this other than I saw someone mention it somewhere here with a screenshot from a recent event.
Now, that in and of itself is almost entirely uninteresting to me except.. I could see them adding endurance races as part of this. Because I imagine, in their mind, they're thinking.. why the heck would we add 6/12/24 hour races when like 99% of the audience isn't going to do that? And, realistically, it is kind of an insane ask. We're not all
@F4H Super GT . I know I'm totally down for like 2 hour races for sure. Maybe up to 4. Beyond that, not really. The game isn't dynamic enough to make it interesting beyond that, IMO (i.e. no realistic mechanical wear/failures/fatigue etc.)
So they're thinking, well if we add something like B-Spec then people don't actually have to drive full races. They can just sit back and watch the whole thing or, hopefully, they have a system where you can jump in and out of the car via pit-stops and swap with AI drivers.
Bare Minimum: (Most Realistic Scenario)
- Endurance races will be on courses that currently support 24 hour time.
- Implement a system that allows seamless driver swapping with AI in pits.
- Implement a system that allows save states during race.
- I would expect it may limited to Gr4, Gr3, Gr1 cars. They've had to train Sophy with the cars and each track.
Ideally:
- Sophy AI will be used and understand Tire Wear/Fuel Consumption/Pit Lane logic.
- Courses with the 24 hour time cycle AND dynamic weather will be supported.
- Sport Mode will have support to allow online driver swapping.
- Support Custom Races/Grids.
