Well it seems that PSN has been back now for at least an hour.

Edit:
And it seems like PS+ subscribers will be getting 5 days extra as compensation for 1 day of outage.

Interesting to see the Ioniq 5 N is also is Forza as of today. It's also confirmed (for a later build) for Assetto Corsa EVO.

Does make you wonder what the whole Hyundai N partnership announcement last year was about. If the end result is just "the same car every other sim is getting, just with more marketing press releases", then well played Hyundai, I guess.

I am generally sceptical of these marketed partnership announcements though. The Skoda one is another that's gone completely silent since the initial announcement and VGT release.

I don't recall it ever saying the car's inclusion was exclusive so odds are the other two just have that car while PD were the first to have the car and potentially more from said deal.

At least in ACC EVO you can expect it to have the fake gear system…

I do find it more than a little hilarious that the ultimate outcome of PD's brand partnership was a single car from that brand, and then Forza comes in and drops 5 cars from that same brand a week later.

Sure model quality and whatnot, but you would at least expect 1 or 2 extra models from an entire partnership, no?

Yeah it is so funny 🤣

Guys, is it still true that multiclass offline race just doesn't work? I recall many months ago trying to set up a Hypercar + GT3 race and came back with this:

If I'm in Hypercar, then hypercars look like hypercar performance wise, even though they sometime struggle to overtake GT3 cars and just follow them
If I'm in GT3, hypercars get nerfed and underperform a lot

Thanks

AFAIK yeah. There's still rubberbanding in custom races.

That one in the back-right looks like a Focus RS ripoff. Down to even the color!

Yes. Even with rubber banding turned off, it's definitely not off.

I put this screenshot in another thread during some Daytona practice. The AI, despite being on the RH (and me on the RMs) while in the same car put in a lap almost FOUR SECONDS faster than mine in an attempt to keep the race "close." All of its extra speed came on the straights/oval bits.

I wasn’t going to post because it’s not needed. We all, who play GT, pretty much have similar words. However, these are just the line up that should be in from GT Sport and now in GT7. Keeps in line with all the dang hatchbacks in the game and would have reintroduced the FF Sport Sedan road car back in the franchise. Not to mention an alternative Gr.4 entry for Hyundai to battle the “new” Gr.4 Mazda3 and “new” Gr.4 Swift.

Oh well.

And PD just happened to get the ugly duckling of the bunch.

This reminds me again of when both GT Sport & Forza Horizon 4 had TVR in an update at around the same time (January/February 2019).
GT only got the Tuscan Speed 6.
Forza got the Tuscan Speed 6 & the new Griffith. Forza also already had the Cerbera Speed 12 apparently.

A PD-original Griffith Gr.3 & Gr.4 would've been incredible, but no we didn't even get the road car. Big shame.

As funny as it is to see Forza getting those Huyndai, it probably took PD to model their one car about as much time as Forza devs spent on those 5
I don't think there's a massive quality gap between released-in-2025 GT models and released-in-2025 Forza models. PD's models are better on average, yes, but not by that much.

Forza gets flack for the models that have been carried over from old games, and deservedly so, the bottom end of their quality range is pretty poor. PD do a great job with these by contrast - compare the 2009 Audi TT in GT6 and GT7, they are a world apart in quality especially around the grille. But new-for-series Forza models are pretty high quality these days.

The differences are like gigantic to me.

From what I saw in comparison videos, there’s still a big difference, even when it isn’t that obvious at first. Going that extra mile, aiming for perfection (not necessarily saying that they already achieved it) almost always takes an unequal amount of extra work. But it pays in my eyes, this makes these cars really come alive for me, sounds cliché but it brings in that magic for me, something what the cars in FM (and also AC Evo from what I saw) don’t have. Doesn’t mean that those models are bad, but GT‘s are just in a league of their own right now.

Do you think there will be a significant update to GT7 in the next 1-2 years? What was the experience with previous titles? Curious where they can take GT8…assume just more visually stunning, more realistic driving, etc. I do kot think it requires a total rethink. Except for economy factor

I've seen more images and a video comparing the Ioniq 5N in both games and the difference is massive in terms of textures and modelling, closest modelling to GT7 that I have seen is Kunos with the EA of AC evo, and look how slow is Kunos in modelling cars too, they are promising only 100 cars when it is full released at the end of the year.

There is nothing to suggest that SoP has any need to showcase GT. They might touch on My First GT since they haven't included it in a SoP, but they specific say it's going to contain content from games COMING to PS5, not games already on PS5.
